- After our Täschhorn expedition, we thought the Wetterhorn would be an easy one, but it wasn’t. On the first day, we hiked to the Glecksteinhütte and spent the night there. We arrived pretty late, almost in the rain. However, we had a great night's sleep, and after breakfast, we started around 6 o’clock. We climbed over the Willsgrätli, taking around 4 hours to reach the summit of the Wetterhorn. Holy moly... this climb was serious. We didn’t use ropes, and the heavy backpack caused me some problems in certain climbing sections. I would even say the climbing part itself was harder than Täschhorn. But overall, as Mario said: The Willsgrätli is the perfect ridge climb you could imagine.
At the summit, we quickly found the exit, and then it was time for this incredibly beautiful wingsuit flight - this time without getting numb fingers ;)

Epic! I had similar views when I fly my FPV drone there a couple of years back. Such an insane place, the hike up to the Glecksteinhütte itself is breathtaking already.

I first heard about wingsuit flights from Andy Stumpf at Joe Rogan. Man this was insane, way crazier then FPV long range 😀
While it’s understood that these flyers are double-black-diamond experts, I still cock my head at what looks like unnecessarily close flying past those very sharp and unyielding rock spires.
It’s obviously a sport for experts yet I wonder how many get weeded out on their way to expert status.
This is one of the most dangerous activities you can make. People die all the time, including “experts”.

If you are ever in British Columbia there's a big cliff that probably hasn't been jumped. ..it's the highest mountain in Canada that has both a road to the top and a high cliff , and a flat landing spot. ..but we don't think it'd been jumped. ..it's Canoe mountain at Valemount British Columbia

Interesting the breathing rate after landing. So is it physically demanding or just so stressful that the body elevates heart & breathing rates? Probably somewhat physical but mostly stressful, right?
