Yeah, honestly it's been great. 195k miles with very little trouble. I still have some maintenance I want to complete and that once that's done I'd be comfortable driving this to the end of the earth and back.
Dude that's a burly radiator! I did a radiator upgrade on my 1st gen box this summer and an upcoming engine swap right after the holidays. It's cool to see the tank getting some love but I thought you'd return with a gnarly vid of the commander driving over the Miata or some wicked sh*t like that 🤣
JC!! How was the radiator swap in the Box? I bet a lot easier than the Jeep! I'm preparing for a week long overlanding journey coming up early next year. I don't think I'll be driving over any cars, but will certainly be on dirt for the first time can't wait! Lots to do tho before then. Merry Christmas!
Great to see you posting vids on the Commander again 🥰 🤔...I wonder if the larger Radiator size will drop the temps enough to trigger the "Collant temp lower than..." fault code (Its just a silent code/fault...one you can only see with a code reader & can safely ignore) Im running a 180 deg thermostat in my 5.7 Commander...it works like a charm!, in really hot weather it never goes over half on the temp gauge and she normally sits between 1/4 - 1/2 temps with regular use....I also swear Im getting 'slightly' better fuel milage around town now (Its still horrifically high fuel usage no matter what you do or how you drive 😂...she a petroholic!😋) ps...Folks, if your doing a coolant job on the Hemi 5.7...bleed it, Drive it and then bleed it again!!! - you do NOT want air pockets in the Hemi 🥵(They WILL have a heat spike! and CAN do damage if not bleed properly! - dont let a coolant change break your heart & wallet!!) Kia Kaha and many thanks for sharing all the tips & tricks...friggin LOVE my 09 Commander - 'BrickTop!' 🥰 (Sod the fuel costs!...dat Hemi is just butter!!😍-> and my god can she tow!!)
Those are good tips! I know the Hemi is different from the 4.7 and V6. Thanks for watching and I'll consider that thermostat. So far, the temp gauge has been right where I like it and no codes. Thanks for watching!
Glad you’re back. Also glad you’ve been car-trouble free for some time now.

First...on a Friday 🤔
Winner!!
Hey man, what ever happened to the prelude??
It's in the garage. I drove it last week.
@ sweet. Will we get some content for it in the future? It’s been a good while since we’ve seen it
@mehtabhussain8482 Yes! I'm going to a complete break down of the build soon! One on the Miata too!
One question, how many gallons of antifreeze did you put in?
A little over two.
Thanks
i guarantee the crack is in the neck of the radiator. I had to do this on my commie a few months ago.
It wasn't. It was on the driver's side. Thanks for watching.
