When we sing, it can lift us out of our worries, thoughts, and circumstances. And it reminds our hearts we aren’t alone. That is why Candace invited Katy Nichole on the show for this season - to share stories behind the songs from her debut album, “Jesus Changed My Life.”

I've been writing songs since I was 4 years old but have never released anything. Last week, I felt God nudge me to start posting some of them on social media.Yesterday, I started a songwriting challenge, posting them to Instagram and UA-cam. I was always afraid of TikTok, but after hearing Katy talk about it, I posted in faith. I'm trusting that God will send these songs to whoever needs to hear them and that He will be glorified. Thank you Candace for allowing Katy to share her story.

I’m so SO happy you have Katy on your podcast! I just love her music! She seems very sweet and genuine in her Spiritual walk. Her song “I Speak the Name of Jesus,” has had a very strong impact on my family. My love one is in person. He is very young. It’s been difficult. I drove to the prison and parked my car. I turned on Katy’s song and sang it as a prayer over my loved with with outstretched arms. I felt the Holy Spirit so strongly. Thank you for your heart Katy and Candace!!❤
I praise God for this song. It's my prayer for my daughter when she's in pain. Thank you for this beautiful prayer it puts words to exactly what I feel.
I kept hearing this chorus of God of Possible playing on Facebook back in January of 2021. I got sick one night and I knew immediately that I had covid. I found this chorus and I played it over and over and over again that entire night. It helped me tremendously during that time of attack on my health to listen to that chorus and know that every time that chorus was played it was a prayer that was being sung directly over me. ❤

This song was pivotal in getting me through a really hard season. The worship that lifted me up and returned my focus to Jesus was a huge blessing! 🙏 ❤
I grew up in a church without music and have been engulfed in it the past few years. It has been THE bridge that has closed the gap in my relationship with Jesus for all the reasons you guys mentioned. I absolutely love this song- the ending of this podcast brought me to my knees. A few months ago, I was going through a time when I didn't even know what to pray for, but I knew something needed to change. Several situations were just so complicated and felt hopeless. I remember I was in the car alone, when this song came on the radio. I started to cry and felt this song/prayer so deeply. I felt a peace after it was over, knowing God has the situation completely in His control. Honestly, I had kind of forgotten about that moment.
Just before I started this video, I was thinking about how different the situation is now. Not perfect, but I can so clearly see God's hand in it all...And then Katy started singing and I was suddenly reminded how God used this song to encourage me in that dark time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.❤

This is how I came to know about the Christian genre! I had no idea about 20 ish years ago. A co-worker told me, and the first song I heard was... I can only imagine. I've never stopped listening. Songs are uplifting and powerful when focused on God, Christ & Spirit.
I love her music as well. Music moves my soul also, I posted that song on Facebook for my niece who has been told she has stage 3 or 4 cancer depending on what they find in further tests. Also, for a man named Dan that has a mass on his lung. The song continues to move.
I listen to your podcast every Wednesday when I clean my house and let me tell youuuuu, I happy cry every single time but there’s also a lot of laughing along with you guy and the guest! I love it so much, I’m home alone most of the time and this just makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends! I have been a fan of you, Candace since the first episode of full house! I love this episode! That song has touched me and my family in more ways than you could ever know. My dad currently has stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma cancer of the tongue and it’s been a hard battle. It’s heartbreaking to see his health decline, but this song has carried me through the darkest of times. Thanks for sharing!

I loved this!! I can relate to writing prayers in my prayer journal and back in 2010 I wanna say it was, the Lord told me that I was writing songs. I’ve been writing them here and there ever since. Please pray for my health. I've been living with chronic health issues for years and am feeling a loss of hope. I know our hope is in Christ. That He still heals today. It's just been so many years of living with this and praying through it. The last few years almost no sleep. This makes it harder to have a healthy outlook.
