Welcome back to Dadskillz, I’m hoping with this latest addition that Dewalt have hit a sweet spot in versatility and made my tool bag lighter too!!
This new Dewalt release, the DCD703 doesn’t have a hammer action but when using the Bosch multi drill bits that shouldn’t be a problem. I can’ wait to see how i get in with this new addition to the fleet!!

I have the dewalt 18v range but in my tool bag I have the 12v dewalt screwdriver version of that one and everyone loves it I now have this version on order as of 5 minutes ago!! Thanks for video

Go Milwaukee and Dewalt, select the best offering of each and have a mix. But yes could mean having 4 battery types, x2 12v, x2 18v /54v. There is a third party 4 battery multi charger for Dewalt online, £70. (Onbuy). Or £95 on Amazon as of writing. Charges 12 and 18v. Milwaukee version only does 18v. Even a genuine Milwaukee multi charger for both m12 and m18 seems unavailable in the UK.
Does it have impact wrench function?
No it doesn’t
Im thinking of picking one of these up for my job as a handyman, i dont need a huge powerful drill (we've got sds drills around if i do) so im thinking one of these would be great for fitting blinds with the offset head and getting into awkward little spots to drill.
I would appreciate your thoughts after using it for a while, is it good or just a vit if a gimmick?

Hi, thanks for watching. After using it for some time now I must admit I still grab my xrp first just because of the control and power it has but often there are just those weird hard to get to little spots where this is perfect. For me it’s got me out of a hole multiple times so well worth it.

Nice video. They advertise it can use up to a 1/2" spade bit. Do you think it could handle a 3/4" spade? I suppose that would be 19mm.
Since I’ve had it I’ve probably got to a 25mm with it. Not had cause to try the 32mm yet!! I was thinking about this the other day - it’s probably one of the best dewalt tools i’ve got certainly the most used now.
