Nice to have Steve and Aileen & family here in Tauranga. Nurses are very much needed here, money isn't always 'everything'. Lifestyle plays a large part in decision making, as does remoteness in world terms. With the way the world is heading, particularly in the Northern hemisphere, NZ is as safe as anywhere. NB When we moved to Tauranga from Auckland we looked at the Mount / Papamoa area. Our decision not to buy there was purely down to 2 things - Its popularity in the Summer, and Tsunami's. We bought in Pyes Pa (which Steve mentioned in his discussion). Welcome to NZ Stewart family 🙂
Tauranga, Bay of Plenty would be a great place, especially for kids. New Zealand always needs nurses to replace those who go to Australia for better pay
I live in Scotland, and my son and family have recently emigrated to New Zealand, more for a lifestyle improvement. It has been a costly time for them in emigrating as they are taking all their furniture and family pet. Aukland looks great place to bring up young family. As for Scotland I think it is a great country.
Welcome to Pāpāmoa Beach, Steve and family. How wonderful. I went to the Edinburgh Tattoo this year! Loved visiting Scotland, but you've picked the best part of NZ to live in.
I'm looking to move to NZ and everyone talks about crazy rental prices. My one bedroom apartment is $2,500/month in California. NZ rental prices don't scare me 😂 it is outrageous but I guess it's all relative.
For some Scots culture, now that you are living in “Paradise on Earth” think about attending the Easter Highland Games at Hastings,Hawke’s Bay, in the other Bay.Good Luck.
ROBBIE Have you been to BOBBYS FISH MARKET. Its the best I've ever been to in NZ in the World. The b word is still a swear to some bcuz we know what it means. Just like the f word is.
@@V.C.S69 Honestly, what on earth are you talking about now?! The whole subject was someone moving to NZ for "a better way of life" which you thought was disrespectful to Scotland because you thought it was not possible for someone to seek a better life outside Scotland. You then said a lot of people move to Australia instead of NZ and you said that to reinforce the idea that you were somehow not at the same time disrespecting Scotland!?

Rent in NZ is terrible . . . but it's just as bad in Australia.
Thank you for joining us, Robert and for saying hi! 😀
Yeah he is laid back. Should fit in well here lol😂
Australia and New Zealand forget. These countries as well as other English-speaking countries, are losing their freedom at a rapid pace
What do you mean a better way of life? What an insult to Scotland.
Scotland has 3 sunny days per year and deep fried pizza.
@@well_i_liked_it ….They don’t have massive earthquakes, Hogmanay, Castles. Many who immigrate to New Zealand move on to Australia.
@@V.C.S69 So what is your point? They still don't move back to Scotland.
@@well_i_liked_it ….The world would be a sad place without the Scots, thankfully many choose to stay for the love of their country and heritage.
