Vanessa Hollingshead talks about her father Michael Hollingshead

Michael Hollingshead is an important figure in psychedelic history, but not much is known about him. In this interview from June 7, 2018, his daughter Vanessa sheds more light on what it was like to live with her father. She paints a pretty unflattering portrait of him, describing him as person with a major drug dependence and anger issues. She also describes him as the man who brought LSD into the united states, which isn't exactly accurate. John Beresford bought that gram of LSD (H-00047) directly from Sandoz. Beresford shared it with Michael Hollingshead, who then shared it with Leary, McCartney, etc.
She recalls many interesting stories, such as the time she accidentally ate acid sugar cubes at Millbrook and had to be given a shot of Thorazine by Richard Alpert.
I'm hoping this video doesn't get taken down. It's been nearly 4 months since this episode of WTF aired, so I assumed they weren't going to post it on UA-cam. So today I finally made a video of it, so I could share it with you all. As I was uploading it, I decided to check one last time to make sure it wasn't on UA-cam. Turns out the official Marc Maron WTF UA-cam channel finally uploaded it YESTERDAY. WTF is right. Terrible timing on my part (or theirs), but hopefully they'll see this as a promotion of their show and leave it up.

It's great! I found it super interesting to find ol' Michael was From Darlington which is just 30 minutes from my home town of Newcastle.
