Whizbang Achievements (Rogue - Its a Steal!)

- Oh my god. I would not recommend doing this one if you don't have another reason for doing so. The current meta is not friendly towards making these big combo turns happen, especially ones that require so many specific cards to pull off (with the acknowledgement that there's probably a better way to do this than what I did). Ugh. Well, anyway, here's the final deck list that ended up working for me, in case you fancy yourself a bit of a masochist.

Just wanted to say thank you for posting your Whizbang achievement success stories and deck suggestions, greatly appreciated. Clever strategies and ideas for all classes, I was able to get them all pretty easily thanks to your tutorials and example matches - this Rogue + the neutral Mustache achievements were definitely the trickiest for me, heh
Thank you so much that means a lot
Thanks for the video! Took several tries, but I definitely would have been lost if I hadn’t come across your tutorials!
Thank you so much!
Thanks again for another awesome video. I hope you don't mind me posting this below but as someone who NEVER plays Rogue (not a fan of the class playstyle) I wanted to show the exact order of how the cards need played as you showed in your video to pull it off before you run out of time:
miniaturized sandbox scoundrel
shoplifter
treasure distributor
shadow step - miniaturized sandbox scoundrel
sandbox scoundrel
miniaturized sandbox scoundrel
southsea deckhand
southsea deckhand
Please note I did this with 9 mana....I *think* you have to have at least 9 mana to pull this off.
I’m sure there are multiple ways to make it happen. IMO this achievement is especially irritating because it requires such precision or you’ll screw yourself out of it due to board space or the rope. I’d even go so far as to call this one poorly designed. That being said, your sequence does look slightly easier to pull off than what I ended up doing. I make no claims to having the perfect decks for these achievements, I’m just sharing what worked for me in the hopes that they can be helpful to someone somewhere.
Anyway I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the feedback as well!
I almost done it on the first time. Takes me 3 games to achieve. Thank you!
You're welcome! Glad the video was helpful
Thanks! 2nd try and it's done
I'm so glad it helped! And that you had a better time of it than I did lol
Not sure if you're focused on doing these in standard, but you can rip through this one easily in wild. Keep most of the draw, add an efficient octobot or Thaurisian and you're cooking. Took me two games.
Oh certainly Wild has LOTS of tools to make these easier. I wanted to do them in Standard for two main reasons:
(a) I think the information will be more relevant to a wider set of players. Especially those newer to the game who may simply not have a whole bunch of Wild cards to dip into, and (b) When they first split into Wild and Standard they did not make it clear that Wild cards would still be useful for upcoming PvE content or that the whole Duels mode would come out that could make use of plenty of old cards, so I dusted my Wild cards almost immediately after they rotated out so I could more easily keep up with the Standard meta. I've regretted that decision many times over, but (with very few exceptions, mainly if a piece of PvE content is just begging for a particular card) I have not recrafted hardly anything in Wild. Now, I have since then learned not to disenchant my Legendary cards when they rotate out, at least. Epics and lower can be recrafted if I really need them for much less effort.
@@Turantula thanks for the response, it was kind of what I was expecting. Glad you found a niche and I hope it brings in a ton of views!
the time pressure gets to me every time I think, or the achievement is broken, I thought I had 6 summons :/
after 20+ games I was getting bored of this and disenchanted Goldbeard, god what a waste of time
@@XavierVandenberghe it really is rough, though it is a LITTLE easier now that he's only 5 mama. He's still a bad card. I'm sorry it caused you so much frustration
why dont you just go into wild with thaurrissan and conceal lol and u can use the card that summons a copy of itself since goldbeard is summon
I made the decision to keep my tactics to Standard format in order to be useful to the most people. Players who are newer to the game are much less likely to have Wild cards (especially the expensive to craft legendaries), and I don't want to provide tactics that require them.
