Wow congratulations! I aspire to match general surgery in 2023. Currently a fourth year medical student in India. I’d like to know what’s a good number of USCE experiences to have, could you let me know how many you have and would suggest?
@@oviyagiri227 The more the better, for gen surg, I would say 2-3 electives, but I have seen applicants match with only observership and some did not match with electives.

For highly competitive specialities like plastic surgery, it is highly recommended. Even some US students are doing a year of research
