I scored a natural top of the AJ500RCE at Nashville Used Music back in December. Epiphone took them from dealers that didn’t sell them and redistributed them. Only one I have ever seen
Nothing like solid wood. No matter what’s on the headstock. I just picked up along with my AJ500RCE a DR500MCE. I wanted the Fishman pick up in the DR500MCE. They are all discontinued now
I've recently got hold of a 500R-NS. And its the best acoustic I've ever played. I traded an Epiphone Casino for it. With factory hard case, and Fishman pickup, fair trade. I see your dog likes to play guitar, my pitbull cross staffie, is also a guitarist. He climbs up on me, whenever I pick up a guitar.
I enjoyed your playing, Dear Louis - sensitive, deep feeling, and seemingly at peace with the way of all things. I really really like the frosted wintry qualities you and this guitar (the burnt sunburst one) make together. Too many guitar players pluck too far away from the bridge - but, not you! All the best to you and yours, from Northeastern North Carolina swamplands!
Wow, great review. I played an Epiphone aj500m at guitar center today. wasn't sure about the specs, and wanted to research a little, didn't know they were all solid. Going back tomorrow and get it...... hope it's not gone. Again, great review. Thanks.

I could listen to this all night. Very pleasant for "just messing around."
The cutaway has the western movie kind of sound, the other has a city sounding feeling hmmhmm they’re both amazing though.
This was pretty good. I own a AJ 500M. I love the mahogany.

Great comparative review. Both sound magnificent.
That AJ500 RCE is really nice and it's got a nice "spank" to it... nice one.
it is clear you like the rosewood better between the two, and it sounds better to my ear. I like the boomier bass it projects.
Great video, I just bought the AJ500 RCE. Love the dog too!
Nice Guitars and the dog pulling the blanket was funny!
Nice review, beautiful playing and sound…subscribed!

I’ve wanted one of these since they came out
