Hi Davie, This is salmon fly is a classic pattern with great materials and colour combination. Expertly tyed to achieve the right proportion. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍
Top Tying again Davie, and I've been lucky enough to fish with Jock Royan earlier this year, He's an absolute star, its almost as if he talks the fish onto your line.
Hi Davie Looks a great fly that I will have them in my box this year. What resin is it you use on this is it the same you use on the bug bond shrimp? Which help me catch a couple of fish last year. Cheers Dennis
Great fly Davie Im having problems when i come to the bucktail, when i tie it in it make's the head at a bad angle as in everything slips when tying, and make's the head of the fly Very big, Any advice? Before i add the bucktail It's perfect.. Thanks.
Hi Fishing7776, Reduce the amount of bucktail you are tying on and run the wax through your thread once and this will give you enough grip and the thread will not slip as much, If I'm having problems then it's mostly down to this...I hope this helps you and please let me know how you get on... All the very best Davie
Hie Davie. I am just getting into salmon fishing, from trout fishing, and was wondering if tying my own salmon flies is cheaper than buying them, or if it is just the idea of catching a salmon on your own fly? All the best, Kristian
hi davie crackin tying, just a note on the rear i can see the point of it on a black hook but dont see much point on the silver or gold for that matter ,,your thoughts!!!!
