I've got this helmet and in the rain the water doesn't go into the holes surprisingly. There's a proprietary cover you can get from bell for this helmets holes but I never use mine as water hasn't been an issue.
Well I mean there's rain and then there's RAIN!! lol...it would be interesting to see how it holds up for a sustained downpour vs a drizzling rain, or a sustained ride in medium downpour if that makes sense.
Bought this helmet because it has a 5 star rating with the UK's SHARP helmet safety test program, one of the most rigorous tests along with ECE.06 and FIM. A lot of high end brands' helmets get under 5 (some actually get quite poor ratings), but got this for 200 making it one of the most affordable safest helmets out there! Just wish they could have incorporated MIPS and a Transitions face shield. And yeah, being able to close the vents would have been nice.
I'm gonna be a new rider once the city open back up (DMV close atm in Philly). I just brought my helmet from you guys yesterday (Bell Qualifier). It's strange watching my own city in a video haha)
Bell now offers a rain cover accessory for this helmet that Revzilla sells for $10. I believe it came out recently and first saw it after a video from views from the man cave.
I love my rally eliminator helmet. The med large is the perfect snug but comfy fit for me. The face sheild is def the best part of the helmet. I have the dark smoke. But this review pretty much nails all the pros and cons. But the cons arent that bad for me. The noise is not bad, theres no whistling. The vents are actually great, I dont ride in rain so the ventalation is welcomed. And even if I was to ride in rain, I'm gonna get wet anyways.
Howdy! I am wearing the Street & Steel Drifter Jacket: www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/street-steel-drifter-jacket : The Boulevard Jacket, chris17181 mentioned is very similar but it utilizes a waxed cotton main construction. Cheers! -Brandon
Hey Isaac, I am utilizing a Sena 20S in combination with a Sena Backpack that links directly to a GoPro Hero 4. Personally, I'm a big fan of Cardo comm systems but for audio, the Sena Backpack is very convenient and easy to use. - Brandon
Hey Faisal, the Sena unit is mounted with a clamp. It took a bit of wrestling to get it situated appropriately but I was able to make it work. Cheers! -Brandon

I'm sure the poor fitment is certainly contributing to the additional wind noise but helmets like this by design are simply a bit louder. I think that's perfectly fine, you just gotta know it's not going to be as quiet as a lot of the more modern designed options available. The size small was simply too small for me and the medium has just a little too much wiggle room for my liking. I know others have had a similar experience and therefore I thought it was worth sharing. Ride safe! -Brandon
I started out with an open face Bell and a snap on visor. Late 60's was retro, still is.
$419 Hemet comes with build in spaghetti strainer.
I just bought mine on clearance for a quarter of that price, and they threw in a rain shield that snaps into the holes.

That's good to know. Thanks!!

You are spot on about it being slightly loose fitting. Small was too small for me on this helmet but medium has just a little too much wiggle room.
Well, I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one on that, ha! -Brandon

How about doing a top ten summer helmets? My RF-SR is leaving me feeling a bit suffocated.
Really? I find that it vents very well.
@@CCitis Probably cause I use a gopro as a traffic cam and its blocking the front vent =P
What Jacket are you wearing in this video Brandon?
it looks like a street and steel boulevard jacket

Hello, does this helmet make a lot of wind noise? I'm trying to buy a retro helmet that has good noise control.
Revzilla sells a snap on cover for the top holes
Hi Brandon. Just picked up one of these helmets. Great review by the way! What adhesive mount did you use to mount your GoPro??
Great review
What make/model communication system are you using for audio, I have the same helmet but struggle to get good audio?
Hey Isaac, I am utilizing a Sena 20S in combination with a Sena Backpack that links directly to a GoPro Hero 4. Personally, I'm a big fan of Cardo comm systems but for audio, the Sena Backpack is very convenient and easy to use. - Brandon
Besides that Mr. Lincoln how did you like the play?
How did you use your Sena to record your audio?
Which intercom were you using in this video?
Does your mouth touch the chin bar? What size did u get?
Is the sena attached with the sticky bracket?

strategically positioned RAM Mount arm for incognito speeding
I bought it because it was on clearance, and it was the only helmet I could afford. P.S. I came with a rain shield that snaps into the holes.
I just got mine to since it was on clearance 😂

I ride in the rain.
Why would you use a helmet that feels too loose?? Could the noise be a product of poor fitment for this vlogger rather than design?
