yes sir! I've used that tool for many odd ball jobs! It helps if grind the tips on the fingers down a little bit to fit into the groove of the stub shaft. Usually just holding it with your hand is good enough. I didn't need the c-clamp.

Worked absolutely perfect. Also, I did not have to use a clamp. I just wound the shaft of the slide hammer all the way in and gave the jaws a little preload and popped it right out although I did have to reset them once. Thanks for the video, it really helped my headache this afternoon.
Once you pull that stub shaft out you can removal the seal on the edge of entry hole of the trans axle. And to be safe I would do one stub shaft at a time! Hope this helps!
