I work for a rental company, and I personally think this is the modest difficult setup ever. I get so many customers asking to setup Bluetooth when they can’t figure it out.

Austin Perry Jesus, it’s god dern idiotic. At first I though it didn’t have Bluetooth , then refused that a 2019 wouldn’t have it. Had to google bloody instructions! Nooooo sense in that. Glad it’s just a rental an not a buy. Never ever.
You need to have Bluetooth sign on your phone and then it’s so easy. I have two Canadian phones and one American phone set up. You have to be listening to the instructions. One person said this radio is no good, Wrong I have 2213 pieces of music and room for 3000 more plus satellite radio.
Having rented a Grand Cherokee recently, the UI is actually pretty easy to use. It's an extremely painful process to set up Bluetooth, though, unless you have the manual handy, as I found out at 11 p.m. at an off-airport mini-mart, and even worse, it didn't recognize my iPhone to use CarPlay even after I got Bluetooth service, and I was using a relatively new and known good aftermarket Thunderbolt cable. All I got was basic Bluetooth functionality. Since I had the vehicle for 8 days, I stopped at a Dodge/Jeep dealer and asked them about it. They told me (and I later verified in the owner's manual) that FCA recommended OEM cables, be it Apple, Samsung, or whatever your phone is, as opposed to third-party or generic cables. Skeptically, I shelled out $20 for a three-foot genuine Apple Thunderbolt cable... lo and behold, that worked instantly! Go figure. It should not be that hard to set up Bluetooth without referring to the manual. BTW, I later found that manual in the spare tire well.
I have a 2017 Crew Plus and the Bluetooth works pretty reliably. This is slightly off topic, but I found out by accident that if you put a movie DVD in the head unit, it'll play it on the screen (only when the transmission is in Park). Odd, but cool.
Now that FCA is offering CarPlay on 2018 and newer Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler/Ram vehicles, there's an additional layer to this. In October I rented a 2020 Grand Cherokee, and as difficult as it was to get the Bluetooth set up, I just could not get UConnect to recognize my iPhone to enable CarPlay. All I could get was basic Bluetooth functionality. As it turns out, the Jeep owner's manual recommends using Apple OEM Thunderbolt cables, even though my un-brand Thunderbolt cable worked in other applications. I forked out $20 for a genuine Apple cable, and whaddaya know... CarPlay started working! You may also want to check settings to be sure the infotainment system is properly configured, but it appears that no matter what you do, if you aren't using a "real" Apple cable, CarPlay won't (or is less likely to) work. That genuine Apple cable is now in my travel kit, and I marked it OEM to be sure that's the cable I use in any rental. (FWIW, I rented a 2019 Camry a year ago, and CarPlay worked just fine with that generic Thunderbolt cable.)

I own one of these vehicles and I hate this system so much. This land is covered with perfectly normal, functional, simple Bluetooth devices, but the guys at UConnect had a "better" idea.

Usually I do not have to read the car manual, and I can figure it out just by going through the settings. My best friend just bought a new Acura and I set up her phone quickly & easily on that without the manual. The only reason I rented the Chrysler van was because the back was tall enough to carry a 65" TV in the upright position. The way the seats folded down made the rear compartment taller than even the Expedition. I did pull out the manual on this van, but it wasn't helpful. I just found this Infotainment system to be the worst I've used, and I'll never rent or buy this van.

People say this is too complicated. I own a 2017 Grand Caravan and, yes, it is. However, I drive a different make company vehicle which automatically connects to every Bluetooth device in it. This is a bloody pain and requires constant disconnecting just to have a bit of peaceful driving. I will take the complicated any day.

Sorry Katherine, but it seems like maybe your vehicle doesn't have the same system. I've chatted with several people here that have a device that LOOKS like this, but after they spoke with the dealer they determined their vehicle isn't actually set up to connect a phone via Bluetooth. That would be my suggestion if you're still having trouble, call the dealer (unfortunately). Good luck! And sorry I couldn't do more to help. (Edit = missing words)
I just got a new iPhone. When I went into paring I deleted all of the devices installed and paired my new phone. Since I wiped out the devices Including my old phone do I need to wipe the Phonebook and re-download the Phonebook from my new phone? Right Now I cannot use my Phonebook to make calls.
Once your Bluetooth is set up for your phone , let’s say you set it up for music, do you have to go back in and do it again for “phone” so you can talk on your phone or does Bluetooth handle both music and phone with just that one setup?
I spent two hours at Dodge dealership attempting to connect new Huawei P 20 & it was determined that only 2 huawei devices will pair & P20 is not one of them, have you had any luck with this phone. I had a ZTE phone connected to my 2013 Dodge Caravan for the last two years & it worked fine.

My gran caravan is a little different, it don't have the robot voice and the notification of " No phone connected" comes out in a white screen and then it went off in seconds.

You think adding a phone is bad, just try to remove one! I'm pretty sure the thing only supports voice prompts is to prevent people from pairing the phone using menus while driving.
This is the ABSOLUTE WORST BLUETOOTH SYSTEM I’VE EVER DELT WITH! Throw the whole car away. For a 2019 car I expect to plug in my usb and be done with it. Just got this car as a rental and can’t seem to find the PIN number to connect and these videos are as useful as a defective condom

This vehicle has a many second bluetooth audio delay, very apparent when using it to watch movies.

Nope, the phone and audio connection is the same. Thankfully. You only have to set it up once.
