I watched the game..and then this play happened. I watched the re-run of this game...and then this happened. I watched all of the memoirs on UA-cam because this happened. You can never get enough of that Miracle" feeling. THIS IS WHY I LOVE FOOTBALL.

My favorite was ESPN Spanish Radio, where the announcer kept repeating "Touchdown Minnesota!" "Touchdown Minnesota!" "Touchdown Minnesota!"
Even though I don't like Joe Buck that has to be one of his better calls and then there is Paul Allen that man is a god in Minnesota where he dubs the play "The Minneapolis Miracle."

His was the worst. He didn't even say what was going on until it was a touchdown. He didn't say Diggs' name either until 5 seconds after the TD.
Actually he did the right thing. When you don't see you caught the ball you do what he did. Remember he had a different angle than what you see on TV so until he could identify who caught the ball you do what he did.

Like a lot of people now, I've watched this over 100 times, and listened to a lot of analysis about it. Some say the Vikings didn't win, but the Saint's lost it. I say watch it again. Watch Diggs go up for the ball, expecting to be blown up, meeting the ball at it's highest point, like a ballerina, (think Lynn Swann) and come down on his feet, keeping his balance, have the presence of mind to stay in bounds and get the hell out of there.....all the while his sideline is screaming at him to "get out of bounds". Nawwww.......they WON this game, fair and square. Like John Madden once said. _"You are what your record says you are."_

Nothing will beat Paul Allen's call, but Joe Buck actually did a pretty great job there too. I get chills with both calls, and I'm not a Vikings fan.
I have watched replays of this play about 100 times and I still get goosebumps. Curiously, I have never seen any video clip that shows Coach Mike Zimmer during or immediately after the play. Nor Saints coach Sean Payton. Would love to see them at that moment.

He said that Williams expected Diggs to spin toward the sideline (to stop the clock and set up a FGA to win the game) but that Diggs spun the other direction which made Williams miss.
Williams missed Diggs before Diggs landed with the ball and spun toward the sideline (not the opposite direction) and wisely headed for the goal line.
Green was quick but wrong.

I heard this on the radio the fox sports English one, while I was being driven back by my dad from the Steelers Jacksonville game (sad times) and the radio was cutting in and out, and we just heard “and it’s oh my goodness it’s going to go in for a touchdown!” And we were freaking out as Steelers fans.

I love watching this back. As a Minnesota Vikings fan this never gets old. Because it's pretty much all we have besides some other plays. However it is hard to watch at the same time because of what happened the next week. In a certain sense I really didn't care what happened the next week (the same for 2019 playoffs) because it was the saints we beat. It would be nice one of these years to have a nice victory like this or like 2029 and then go and repeat of instead of having the eagles or forty-whiners whoop our ass lol
