Thank you so much for making this video!!! I didn't have a golf tee or double-sided 3M tape, so I ended up hot-gluing a screw to my battery (I made sure to not get the hot glue on anything else). I waited for it to dry and I was able to pull it out!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
This worked for me after trying and giving up over and over again for months! I used a 3m command poster strip, cut it in half and stacked it on itself so the “wall” side touched both the battery and the desk drawer knob I used to pull it off. Thank you so much!
thanks for this! I used double sided tape with another camera battery, which covered the entire surface of the stuck, after market Amazon battery. Worked like a charm, really appreciate it
Thank you for posting this! I almost tried with the tweezers idea but decided it could damage my camera. Found this video and it took me 2 minutes to fix!
Thanks for this!!! happened to me today filming and thank god it was the last video before the battery was empty and couldn't remove it. Had to film the last one on my iphone lol. This was so helpful, thanks
THANK YOU‼️ I experienced a nightmare when this happened tonight. Throughout most of a live show I tried to remove the battery with no success. Then I watched your video, got a small piece of double sided tape and lifted the lever. The battery was removed in 10 seconds!
Glad it worked! Though, I’d caution anyone to just be careful using glue in case it runs over the edge of the battery into the camera’s compartment. I don’t really want any form of liquid in that area if I can help it.
I used to give the camera a good beat, and the battery comes out a bit, and then i pull it out or used tweezers in a tough sotuation... i think I should try your method next time. Thank you.
Hi Gadget: I use my Dad's old 35 mm Nikkormatt FT2 SLR with the one flat disk battery accessed from the bottom; however, in the future you can always run a thin string or flat ribbon (the kind cake shops tie their boxes with or can be bought at any sewing store or sewing aisle of any Wal-Mart)underneath the battery and up its sides to overhang the edge of the battery compartment like the battery compartments of alarm clocks which come with a built in ribbon to snap the AA or AAA battery out. To change your battery, you simply pull the two overhangs to LIFT the battery out and repeat by underwrapping the new battery with the string or ribbon prior to insertion. ❤Diane, Vancouver, Canada. Happened to me just now, really useful vide of yours^^ I didn't have any tape at home, however, I have a really strong magnet that came with my osmo mobile 4. I used the magnet to pry the battery out.
Genius! Thank you for this excellent tip! I had it out in 5 minutes, and am so grateful I didn't also have to spend 5 or 6 hours on it? Mine was stuck in a trail cam with a CR123A stuck battery, but your technique worked flawlessly! ✅
Maybe, that could work but you have to be careful. If you get glue past the battery you could have issues. I personally don’t want anything liquid near the internals of any electronics.

@@gadgetbeacon And thank you once again for thinking of other people that may need help with this issue.
Thank you! I just used this technique and it worked like a charm!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this video! Didn't do the same thing but it gave me a similar idea and it worked!
Great to hear!
a6400 here! Not the same method, but inspired by you, I used a permanently glue and glued it on a screw waited until it’s dry and pull it out
Glad it worked! Though, I’d caution anyone to just be careful using glue in case it runs over the edge of the battery into the camera’s compartment. I don’t really want any form of liquid in that area if I can help it.
Love the A6300 📷
Same 💪

Definitely be careful using tweezers with these!

Glad it worked! I’d just say be careful using magnets around cameras in general in the future
Thank you for troubleshooting and posting! I worked for me!
Glad to hear it!
Thank you so much!! It worked, I thought I was going to take my camera to the repair
You are welcome! Glad it helped!
Ditto!
Great!! Thank you very much!!
You are so welcome!!
Is there specific 3m tape I should use? I see some for less than $10, and some for $40
Just make sure it’s a double sided tape! a.co/d/9YMtTMg this is what I used

I used some black masking tape that helped!
Glad it helped!!
Thanks, it's really helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!!
Method worked in less than a minute on my a6400
Glad to hear it!
This worked for me… alpha 6500 here!
Love that!!!
Didnt work AT ALL. my camera (Sony) is clutching onto the battery with its life force
:( sorry to hear that! It takes more force than you’d think. Is the lever to release the battery giving it enough clearance?
Super glue a piece of paper or something string to it, pull it out
Maybe, that could work but you have to be careful. If you get glue past the battery you could have issues. I personally don’t want anything liquid near the internals of any electronics.
