Hi. In the side splits straddle position my left leg rotates slightly outwards as I get within an inch to the ground. This causes a shock up my leg and tingling. Do you know why this happens and if I can fix it? I had an xray done on my hips and they are normal. Because of the slight rotation I can't sit down in the splits. Thanks in advance.
Hi!!, im a dancer and i found your videos helpful, quick question, do you have any tips for improving external rotation of the leg? ( turn out), i have so much trouble with it, ballet requires turn out from the femur and i find it almost impossible 😭😭😭
Hey Regina! The turnout is a external hip rotation, so all the movements where you have to externally rotate your hip and leg will help. To mention some, you can find also on my channel: frog stretch, taylor pose, horse stance, pancake stretch, front splits... All of these help you get a better turnout.
For me it’s opposite I struggle a lot opening my front leg while practising. Back is always completely straight in the way it should be performing split.
I could do the side split very fast, i learnt it kind of on my own, but i still can't do the front split & my body find it more difficult than the side one. I do think now the reason is my back leg tends to rotate to the side. Thank you
Hi thanks for this useful video however whenever i did my right split my left leg's thigh is so up and i kinda fell like i'm not sitting on the ground but on my right leg thigh any tips

My back leg go inside i try correct it but my front leg is so far from ground and dont go down even after years...why?
Probably there’s a lack of flexibility there. Your hip flexors may be the cause of that!
each time i train for my splits my lower back hurts all day next day small moves cause electrical jolts , i do external rotation ,is there a relation?
It may be but I can’t be totally sure. Btw take it easier and focus on your technique more.
I don’t get my back leg straight, any tips?❤

That can be a possibility for sure but I think it's always related to the back leg's position.
Thank you Elia

You can do it! For some people is more difficult, but eventually you’ll build this 😊
I am having difficulty to withstand the stretch pain. What can I do please?
Basically it's really simple: you have to perform a stretch which is less intense than the one you're using.
Good advice. 👍
Glad you think so!
