Yep I like him a lot as Assist; I use him as in this capacity on *Elektra* (my primary Ranged March) as I've had her ages so she's the most advanced. The theory of who's best is all very well but if you can't Ascend a lot of the results of theory are different than practice.
I confirm compatibility between Elektra and Charles. I used them months ago, than I passed to Agrippa. But now, after seen this video I have some doubts😂 Agrippa’s overall is very big, but it’s determined by +50 defense, +20 hp and only +4 attack , so it might have been a my mistake change Charles. Honestly I don’t know🙈
If you can get Agrippa's covenant fully maxed then he can compete with Charles, Agrippa also has higher defensive stats as an assistant, so either is a fine choice.
Thank you for putting this together. I'm coming right out and just admitting I am completely stupid about this stuff so I apologize for my dumb question. I have been playing for over two years (low spender) and only now starting to think about getting my feet wet in the SVS pool at some point. Right now, Minamoto is my guy because he's easy to find and ascend. So regarding the March size, I have the Skill Book added---doesn't that count for something?
It's actually a good question, since march size and attack % interact with each other, different generals will get different effective damage from the book. However, in my testing the march size book won't change the overall ranking of the general in this list.
@@Maath_Faseli Yep, *Douglas* needs a _Spirit Beast_ to go up from +25% Ranged Attack to +40% Ranged Attack AND to add the 15% Defence ... if you have a spare rubbish one you can't afford to raise up at the moment (and there are quite a few in the game now) and that doesn't have a Debuff ( in which case it obviously has a place with a Sub General) I suppose you could throw the cheap beast on just for that.
I don't understand how louis IX is better than Mihai as an assistant for Elektra. its been pointed out that its due to the march size but Louis IX doesn't have a march size buff in main skill; "increases ranged troops attack by 40% and ranged troop defence by 45%.." What am I missing here?
For assistant generals their base skill is active and their specialties are active. Louis gets 6% from his specialty. If you're just going to use the base skill and no specialties then Mihai is better. If we're just comparing base skills then Charles XII is the best hands down.
@@Maath_Faseli *Louis IX* Special Skill clashes with *Elektra* 's so how can he be of any use? I just double checked and it's Grey for me saying it clashes with *Elekra* 's _Blood Restrain_
@@Pyr0531 Just because someone used him as defense doesn't mean he's good. His total effective attack is slightly better than Gnarr, and he's very weak in defense and HP stats. His debuffs don't even factor into the equation since those are active if he's a sub general. Edward falls short because he tries to do to much, jack of all trades master of none.
I like *Merlin* but he's newer than this video so that's a bit unfair. I'm actually using him to Assist *Douglas* but (though if you keep Ascending *Douglas* probably should be main because of his later buffs), he'll soon be moving to Assist because I have no fragments to raise him where I have 180 *Merlin* fragments ready and waiting for Trial of Knights! (Yep during his Event I couldn't stop getting him ... he appeared every time I got a random General it seemed 🤣)
Agrippa is significantly higher in attack than everyone if you include covenant. Also you need to consider if you're getting fully debuffed or not because I think I would rather have 20% attack vs 5% march size if it's not being debuffed and my march size is 6m+
You can't debuff the march size, so wouldn't march size be better in that situation? You can add a calculation to my calculator to account for the debuffs if you want to check for yourself
I still think buff trumps March size. Sending a slightly smaller march of more highly buffed troops will give a bigger positive differential on point exchange. Yes, for one given attack a larger march technically has more attack power but over the course of an entire battlefield where you're gonna send a fixed total number of troops independent of march size, a more highly buffed archer will generate more points and a larger positive point differential.
@@ChadSila That intuitively makes sense, but with as complicated as the battle mechanics are it's hard to say for sure. For example, in the same way that you can one shot a boss by overwhelming with power, you can one shot the enemy layers so they only get a counter attack and never get an actual turn. I think that to say for sure which is better it would require a ton of testing and be highly dependent on the situation.
@EvonyAcademy_ Your point is well taken. It's truly unclear. At least with the new senate you don't lose out if you fully red star a new general and switch over.
Hunyadi will give you 95% attack as an assistant if you max his specialties, no extra march size, HP, or defense. If he's all you have then he works, but even tomyris will be a better assistant.
