Thank you for these videos about dealing with anxiety, they are very helpful. However, I feel like I am addicted to anxiety. As soon as I wake up in the morning, even though I felt refresh and happy, I noticed anxiety already showed up at my front door waiting to be opened. I had to be very mindful not to open the door but as a minute of unmindful, it already jumped in the door. Any advice? Thanks again

It has been about 6 weeks since I started counselling, the first video was on rumination that has helped me so much, but I am still working on it. yes a lot of bad things happened and yes anxiety did kick in on anything.
Now I think first about the whole thing and tell myself out loud. I am safe nothing bad is happening focus on myself and all the positives and it's slowly going, dealing with some people, I'm having a more calmer response,

I found this so helpful , because it helps me in taking responsibility of my anxiety.
Otherwise I feel powerless in front of it , like it would be kind a body symptom.... If instead I can know and feel that it's unnecessary , then it's possible to me kind be driving my mind elsewhere. And then I can get the power to assume a more wholesome attitude about the same problem : an attitude which comes from a place of calm and peace and goes towards calm and peace at the same time.... So thank you so much .

What is the second question? Did I miss it?
I also didn`t hear the second question. There was a lot about the first one "Is the situation dangerous right now?" and a lot of good examples. But where`s the second question?

I think the second question is “is my anxiety needed”
I think the first one is 'is it dangerous?'. If the answer is no, there's no need to be anxious. If the answer is yes, then comes the second question, which is 'is it dangerous now?' (like right now, in this moment)
The second question was not specified clearly like the first one was. It was: "is this dangerous to someone else?"
If so, anxiety in these situations is very common. However, along the same lines as the first question, when another person is in danger, having an active limbic system narrows our perception in a way that will limit our ability to meaningfully help that other person who is in danger. Unless we are in immediate physical danger, like about to be hit by a car, we aren't supposed to have that fight or flight activated.
((Many of us were trained as kids to treat our parents' disapproval as a life or death situation. Humans are biologically wired to seek and maintain our parents' approval, so we can have our physical needs met. If our parents took advantage of that wiring to get us to behave in certain ways, in adulthood, a partner's disapproval may feel like a life or death situation. Even though technically, it isn't.))
