Hi Jesse, the J7 Prime is not an MHL compatible model. Hence, even with the Samsung MHL 2.0 HDTV Adapter, it will not be able to screen on the TV. However, the J7 Prime has the Smart View function to do screen mirroring to a smart TV. Pull down the settings shortcut, and there should be a Smart View icon to start smartview function. Alternatively, you can also download the Samsung Smart View app (Google Play Store link: spr.ly/6057D35vv). Hope this helps!
