A really lovely Whitechapel 8,one of the finest along with St Olaves Hart Street. I used to ring foe weddings here in the 1960s along with Clerkenwell a classic G&J 8.
Question. Do they just unhook the clapper? Or does the whole bell get removed? Stupid question I'm sure, but I'm American so we don't have a lot of change ringing towers here 😂 gorgeous ringing!

Yes, 3,5 and 8. The aren’t currently working though, will be fixed in the next few weeks.

They are definitely a great 8, but the Gillett bells at StcJames Clerkenwell are lovely.

There are nuts on top of the headstock which get unscrewed. That lets the clapper fall out the bottom of the bell.
Are these Eb by any chance?
Yes, the tenor is in Eb
