  • Hello today's video is about The Make Up and Evolution of The Dodgerton_76_Fungo Collection and my thoughts of my card collection and trying out some new ways to collect with more intent and love for baseball cards. Curating a better and more interesting collection alongside my vintage baseball cards.
I was inspired by a low dollar pick up from the flea market and looking through my Miguel Cabrera PC. I do believe my new approach will build a more exciting collection of baseball cards. I figured I won't get bored with cards I have seen my whole life or owned at one time. I been discovering some beauties with flashy colors, I'm learn about a different era of players and learning about manufacturers that came and gone. I think that this will be the future of baseball card collecting. late 90s and early 2000s have a lot of opportunities of picking up great cards and maybe add a small amount of value. I look at it as boomer start fading away the kids who grew up in 90s will want to collect some of memories that many boomers never wanted to add to their collections I believe there's many it is goods that have been stashed away that will become available. I wasn't collecting baseball cards at this time but I sure was watching a lot of baseball. Many great players came from this era with many powerful hitters. So this video is basically me sharing my thoughts out loud with you and hoping to open up some dialogue. As always thank you for watching, the support and I appreciate everybody's comments. Take care. Be kind to yourself and someone else. Cheers

Thanks Steve. That's why I've been really digging and learning about late '90s and early 2000 inserts. There is a lot more variety and the cards have brilliant color shine and beautifully designed It was more than just changing the color of a border. Not to mention some players have monstrous stats. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate you commenting. Cheers

Thanks Stuke. One thing out of money in this hobby it never gets stagnant. Everyone builds their own individual and personal collection that reflects them. There is no wrong way or right way to go about collecting it's just a part of your personality. Yet the cards bings us all together.. Making up this community. I know I sound like a nerd but I get nerded out about baseball cards. 😁 99% of my friends and family don't want to hear about it so that's why I do the UA-cam. Trying not to make a fool of myself. 😄 I just wish to see the hobby grow. I do believe this makes a better person out of most people like it has done for me. I say that with the most seriousness. It really helps with my mental health. Sometimes I get long-winded and I apologize but I hope somebody reads this and it helps. Thanks for dropping by and I appreciate you commenting. Cheers

It's always a good feeling knowing one's strategy for collecting. It can help narrow one's wants and also help determine how much money you'll possibly need to invest. Good to see you're taking a smart approach to assembling your personal nostalgic cards collection. Take care.

Right on! Great comment and well said. I need to focus if not I'm all over the place. Slow down and focus on my priorities to what I really want for my collection considering long term passion for the item. Reminding myself I can't collect every way and everything. I don't have enough time in my life nor money. For a while I really was trying to do so. 😄 Buyers remorse is real. Two times that has happened where I got a heck of a deal only to realize the cards were not for my collection and boring. Another takeaway is don't be influenced by what other people like. That's what's great about this hobby we all build and curate our collection to be a part of our personality but all share the passion for cardboard. Like they say collect what you love. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your comment. Cheers

@@Dodgertown_76_Fungo Right on...collect what you love. For me coins is my thing but have recently been trying to slowly round up some Dodgers cards. Take care. Good luck in your collecting journey.

When I got back into collecting nicknames was my first PC and a big part of why I started UA-cam. Some of my first videos were on nicknames. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment. Have a great weekend. Geez this week went fast. 😄 Cheers
