I like how Simon's impersonation of Nick Frost was extremely spot on!
jakethetank99 and Alec Guinness
ItzMeNick 11 year necropost
"Graham Norton's got a willy..."
"How do you know?"
classic Pegg
Simon Pegg is a national treasure
*international
World*
*Whole Planet
As well as a comic treasure!
#THE BOYS
@@hurricane4384 international and whole planet are basically the same thing
"How do you know?" Jeremy's reaction is absolute gold 🤣
Love the fact he did an essay on Star Wars from a Marxist perspective hahaha
and he ended up being in Star Wars ep VII
People say that Simon has done the sci fi triad: Star Wars, Star Trek and Doctor Who.
@@bookwoman53 He has. I think DW was first and SW last.
He took those corners like a pro regardless of the last
his Obi Wan voice was amazing!!
0:30 I don't know if Simon intended for this to be a joke but
"The imovable force and the unstoppable object" is just a good line to comment on two astra diesels
That Obi-Wan impression had me rolling! Had to rewind it, I didn’t expect him to be that level of funny in interviews!
Star wars analysis, then a year later he´s on Star Trek.
now we knew how he got the role
@Nathaniel Miller Exactly, he was also in Star Wars
0:28 I didn’t know Satan liked Top Gear.
"slower on the corner simon, slower on the corner....." XD hahahahahahahahahah!!!
"i pack heat " ahhahaha
0:25 Did he just say immovable force and unstoppable object?
...
Kaas Ambrook It's supposed to be unstoppable force and immovable object
...
...and was the meaning he was trying to convey lost? I understand the definition of "force", and you are right, he is technically wrong... I'm pretty sure everyone understands what he was getting at.
Russel Johnson Minute science did a video on this and they're pretty much the same thing when you tear them down.
+Russel Johnson he mixed two words up in the heat of the moment....? big whoop.
this is what top gear needs, more guests like simon pegg
“I analysed Star Wars from a Marxist perspective” - Is an excellent quote I never thought I’d hear
Holy cow, that Sir Alec Guinness impression was spot-freaking-on! Now I can’t get the thought of Ben Collins speaking to him through the Force!
Oh look! It's Ashens! ;)
oh god you're not from Poundland are you?
Great interview :) and by the way guys, are they talking about Hot Fuzz?
rockandclassiccars Yea i think so
rockandclassiccars Astra diesel police car, yes, yes they are
Simon Pegg has one of the greatest laughs I've ever heard.
This guy is almost as fast as Obi Wan Kenobi.
I only now caught on to the fact Simon said “immovable force vs an unstoppable object”.
I love Simon's impression of Nick. "I'm an Actor! I'm an Actor!"
This might just be one of the best interviews, after Michael Gambon's, of course.
Hello Ashens :)) He surely looks like Simon Pegg.
I think an unmovable force wouldn't stand a chance against an unstoppable object.
The proper answer to that paradox would be: the unstoppable force stops, and the immovable object moves
Yes he is. Best actor on the best television show! Great stuff
@mobby1986 if you wondering what he meant he by that what he means is that 2 Astra Diesels being idnetical nothing will give one car an edge over the other, immoveable force being a force that no matter what you do you can't move or change it, and the unsoppable object being a object that can't be stopped under any circumstance, meaning that one thing can't win (i think it's whats called a deadlock)
If you look at it, "would of" makes absolutely no sense, the only reason people make this mistake is because the spoken contraction "would've/should've" etc sounds like would/should of.
Anyone watching in 2018? Simon Pegg is my favorite Actor, Who is ready for the next Mission Impossible coming this year?
It's 2019 now my guy
Judging by your profile pic you never left 2018
Everytime I look at Simon Pegg it just makes me want to laugh.
I love simon pegg
1:43 there’s a demon in the room 😱
go to 30 seconds, that lady in the back scary asf
Simon Pegg is in Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead, Paul, The Boxtrolls, Absolutely Anything and he also starred in The Adventures of Tintin with Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig and Nick Frost. He is a great National Treasure.
I would pay to see the next episode of Top Gear with Stephen Hawking.
A lot can change in 9 years
Am I the only one who thinks the armed police would have been better to announce they were there while the 'suspect' had his gun in pieces rather then wait until he'd put it back together? They wouldn't have had to worry about him grabbing the gun if it was still in bits.
And its a replica btw. Not the real one.
@@midnightfun1277 You don't know that if you just see someone handling a gun.
Because it's called star in a reasonably priced car. Not star in a supercar
people always try to overcomplicate that theory all that happens is that the force gets deflected to another direction. and as such the force stays unstoppable and the object - immovable :P
He's also in "Spaced" - awesome TV show!
simon pegg ftw
So, Jimmy Car in a previous/later episode was 1,46 (or something) at the top of the leader board, and showing 2.08 in this one?
Looks like things didn't go well in that one....:)
Did anyone notice the women with the white eyes over Jeremy's shoulder during the interview?
Rogier Weel that's a reflection
She's wearing glasses, the light is shining off the lenses.
I'm not saying it was aliens...
I'm sad... the thumbnail made me think they actually got Ashens to do the celebrity lap. @_@
That Nick Frost impression is so good!!
Simon Pegg is an inspiration to nerds everywhere
Car connaisseurs in the US like the same cars as you guys do, and we crack on American cars just as much as Clarkson does. I think the best solution is just to air the UK version here, and if they had to have a US version; they could schedule it in the first half hour, and the UK version in the second.
The 1:46 was in the first car. He spun out on his hot lap in the second car and got a 2:08.
I like the Alien at 0:26 at the left of Clarkson with the laser eyes.
Anyone watching in 2016?
yup
+Tristan Edwards Same
sorry im watching in 1858, i dont know what youre talking about
Nah mate 2017, I'm from the future.
2018
I actually love Simon pegg so much dont care!
His impersonation of ben kenobi is just perfect lol!
Hilarious!!! He looks like Karl Pilkington with the helmet on!
Noticed Jimmy Carr currently sat at the bottom with a horrendous time. Didn't he go on to be the fastest? What the hell changed...
Yeah wondered that too... Maybe he asked for a second chance and then did the fastest lap
This interview is from AFTER Carr set the fastest lap. It was a brand new leaderboard and car and they let "anyone" have a go. Jimmy Carr came back and massively fucked up this time around.
Here's an awful quality clip - ua-cam.com/video/cWZ2o--scFQ/v-deo.html
The immovable force and the unstoppable object 😂
so awesome he was the star in the reasonably priced car
=D
thats my fuckin dream
top 5 baby! ;)
his Ben Kenobi impression sounds a lot like James May
Graham Norton has a wiley
How do you know? 😂😂
At 2:40 revelation about the Graham Norton's intromittent organ.
@ExistUNDRGROUND It's a Lacetti I think.... I dunno if it sells over in the States
2/3
Miller and Anheuser-Busch are both owned by foreign companies; Ford and GM will probably end up being owned by foreign companies.
Actually, there is a lot of good beer being made here, but the big companies fight to keep it from being sold in stores.
while driving he looks out of his eyes if he had eaten 1 kg of xtc...
ROFL at his Nick impression. Pretty good!
ah this one made me feel much better after watching the simon cowell interview
immovable force :/
@lapislazuli7
He's good with mimcking voices, Nicky Frosts, Alex Guiness, James Doohan as examples.
@Tcrumpen i think he put that because its suppose to be 'unstoppable force, immovable object' and simon pegg said it the other way round and thats why its funny and thumbed up :)
LOL at his Obi Wan Kenobi impersonation.
Can anybody tell me wich episode is this?
My English isnt too good and is deficult to me to understand them. Thankyou. Sorry if my english is bad.
immovable force, unstoppable object?
Montgomery Scotty
J.H.C. Do we all age that badly?
Still funny though.
I adore Simon Pegg!
Excellent Video - Love TopGear (5*)
True freedom and liberty are when you can do whatever you want, as long as you don't harm others or take away from their rights.
Immovable force and unstoppable object is an oxymoron right???
I think he was saying that from a Marxist perspective Star Wars would appear to be very right wing. Not that Marxism is right wing.
Top Gear was on UA-cam before it was profesional for TV Shows to be on UA-cam 😆
It was before UA-cam was bought by Google
Mission Impossible Benji and if you want Tom Cruise he should be in series 15 alongside princess Fiona from Shrek played by Cameron Diaz
you should get simon back on as the next star !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he does a sick impression of nick frost!!!!
I, for one, would like to read said essay, please and thank you very much
@mobby1986 I was gonna point that out.. Nobody called him on it... is that a British thing?
@AnnoyingGod DAMNIT!
I WANTED TO SAY THAT!!!
@mobby1986 I think the force is the car and the object is the fuel efficiency
Everytimne I remember that he was in Band of Brothers I still can't quite believe it
There have been 2 different celebrity cars. Jimmy has driven both. He did 1.46.9 in the Liana and 2.08.1 in the Lacetti.
“Immovable force and unstoppable object”
Isnt it Unstoppable force and immovable object
What movie is Pegg talking about?
Hot Fuzz.
There's only one way to find out....
FIGHT!!!!!
Slower on the corner Simon, slower on the corner.
Simon did a really good, solid and promising lap. If those last 2 corners were faster, he'd have very possibly either beaten Gordon Ramsay or been just below Gordon Ramsay.
Lap is at 3:10
also he used 'your' instead of 'you're' or 'you are' :]
Simon should win Star Wars just for doing that essay in Marxist fashion! Although I am bit peeved Clarkson didn't ask about Spaced or the possibility of a 3rd Season!
I think you reading to much into it. It's just a funny story being told on top gear. We don't really use armed police that much but they take their job seriously if they think theres a threat. As I'm sure the armed police over the pond do as well. I was talking about the revolution with the frogs not ww2. That you have the Russian to thank for ;)
Then we lost it again as soon as the British bankers established a central bank here; now we're all debt slaves.
But to call the War for Independence a footnote shows how schools in your country (like mine) teach propaganda as history.
On a side note; I was thinking on the way to work today about the similaraties between American cars and American beer, lol.
I do not understand how people can dislike this video..
Hardly most British people don't consider gun ownership as a right. Also you are allowed some guns (not military grad weapons) for hunting and stuff but you need a license. Rather that than the murder rate you lads have!
@TheNightsecho I think he questioned it because it is supposed to be the immovable object and unstoppable force.
I cant wait for his new movie to come out.
