Richie!!!! I live in Cape Town 6-months of the year (Atlanta & Cape Town) and you hit up all of my favorite spots (Bungalow, Fishermans Wharf, The Gold Room) These are all the must-see spots that I take all of my friends to when they come to visit me. But I will say, you should have had the fish & chips downstairs from the restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf in Hout Bay because it is the absolute BEST fish & chips you'll ever taste AND you get so much for so little - next time though. Great video. I'm homesick because I haven't been back since COVID but best believe, I'm headed back in June and can't wait!!!! Thank you for the great video. Next time, come back and hang with locals not a tour guide because locals will show you places that tour guides won't (remember they get kickbacks for taking people to certain places) Just something to keep in mind when you come back........
I'm glad that more AA are discovering South Africa. Having lived in Cape Town for almost two decades, I only used to see white Americans in the City and I somehow thought that maybe our brothers & sisters in the U.S. don't like us. 😂

sawubona mndeni more and more AA are moving to South Africa and I am considering Durban, centurion, Pretoria or Sandton. The American media does not show anything positive about Africa or anything in the world but UA-camrs especially AA are opening up the eyes of AA, i’ve been watching UA-camrs the real South Africa and I’m considering coming to visit around heritage day.

Thank you for visiting my city Cape Town .You really promoted us well but I still believe you have not seen all of our beautiful city. My daughter and son inlaw has a tour company that does personal tours till in the areas of Cape Town they don't show you and they do sunset cruises in Hout Bay to seal Island where you can bring your snacks and wine and party for 2 hours in the ocean with local and international music.

I literally leave for cape town/johannesburg, South Africa in two weeks to celebrate my 30th Birthday and this video came right on time. I've never traveled this far from home(the U.S) and it's very much settling in that this is REALLY happening, but i'm hopeful that I'll come back with wisdom and perspective ! Unbelievable. You were in Cape Town when I was there. I actually was in SA since January 28, arriving in Johannesburg. My local friends and I took a road trip and explored other parts of SA. We finally ended our road trip in Cape Town. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

Just a small fact check -- Cape Point is not the most southerly tip of Africa -- That would be Cape Aghulas (About 200 km to the east of CPT) -- Aghulas is the Portugese word for needle -- The compass needle in the 15th century would swing if you were sailing along the coast ( Because as you pass the point , you suddenly sail from South to North)
Cape Point is the most South Eastern point of Africa
The restaurant patio seems so relaxing with the peaceful blue waters. I could just see myself there. I haven't taken an out of US trip in sometime.

Were there many places of worship there too? Did you speak to any of the people that live there and here about social issues they're dealing with today? I know when I travel, I like to know what's popping with our people. Kudos to you guys for buying property. God bless you on your endeavors.

Yes Jewell's also has a wonderful relaxing view. I'm really waiting on the day I could take a trip and do nothing but relax, sightseeing is work. Lol!! I'm watching a cooking show on Netlfix Brassi something and I am enjoying their trip up and down Nelson Mandela Bay.
Houtbay.... My mom wa born and grew up there. Her dad was the caretaker of the beach. That's always a lovely drive out for fish.

I tell my mom those networks show the poor parts of Africa that want you to send them money to help diseased and poverty areas but Africa like other places has classes, high, medium and low, even though in America we are about to lose the middle class because of economy but there is always wealth and poverty in an area.

I saw the different type of South Africa while backpacking from Joburg - Cape Town - Port Elisabeth - Durban - Pretoria - Joburg. After staying couple of days in Hillbrow in Joburg, Waterfront area in Cape town felt like a glitch that wasnt supposed to be there.

You should also visit Simon's town, it's a coastal town, very relaxed lots of nature

Good to know they are practicing safety I was wondering with Africa known to have so many diseases. I see your masks buy was wondering their process. A friend went to Africa in early 2000s but had to take so many shots before going there and having downtime for shots to work. Did you have to take several shots?
I know you probably don't realize it but that is another generalization, stereotype and exaggerated impression. Please take note that Africa is not a single country. It is an astonishingly large and very diverse continent, largest after Asia (it takes me 11 hours to fly from South Africa to Nigeria). I don't even have anything in common with someone maybe from a country like Liberia or Ghana except that we are in the same continent. So the shots you need will depend on what country you are going to. Start looking at Africa as a continent instead of a lump sum of a country then only you will stop inflating catastrophes and epidemics as the whole Africa. I am not sure what diseases you are talking about because there are 54 countries in Africa. For example you don't even need specific vaccine to travel to South Africa and most neighboring counties. I know one needs a yellow fever shot when travelling to Nigeria, Ghana or Kenya.
