I picked up a Neptune couple days ago. Been working on electric lady this morning. Freaking awesome pedal! Fantastic for funky rhythm parts too! Two thumbs up its nice & rich not weak and the pulse or throb is just right. I trust this builders ears!
The optical sensor does require light to work. In a dark room, a simple pedal board gooseneck LED works great. You can find them for around $15. Also, keep in mind that channel one works no matter where you are with a preset rate and depth just like every other vibe on the market.
I've played this pedal and it sounds even better in person. Matt makes great stuff and is a pretty damned good guitar player too, you could do a lot worse than the Tortuga stuff.
"You can cover it with any other object". I can see the headline now. Local guitar player arrested for indecent exposure! When asked what he was thinking, he replied: "Andy said any object!"
@rodrigobanjo yeah , i guess it's like that for me 1. pedal talk 2. dirty talk (to my woman) 3. football talk 4. politcs (not that it's not important but you know there is no way you can have a bad argument with someone on gear talk)
@Wiggzzzz yeah, so whenever all those guitar hero's stomp down on their wah pedals and have to stay in one place and go crazy shred-tastic on guitar its boring to you? Sorry but if you want movement watch a movie.
you wouldnt run this through the loop..i have the deja`vibe from Fulltone..and i run it before the overdrive,,before the amp..i only run chorus,flanger and delay thru the loop
Andy, I already knew you were the coolest guy in the world, but the fact that you played electric ladyland just confirmed it for the ages.

Any colour you like, great song selection to really show what this pedal is made of!
Who says there's no space for obscure boutique-y guitar effects anymore? I'm in love with it already!! The controller idea is brilliant, too.
best modulation efect ever

Great idea with the optical sensor. Now, how long will it take for other makers to jump on the use of that technology?
Hey Andy: I take it you're workin on the Yeti, Sasquatch, Standard Issue Phaser and the Crazy Eight right??!?!??! :)
The optical sensor is brilliant - BUT... what happens when you're playing in a dark room?

PINK FLOYD as opening number! Do I get a prize for calling it?
any one used one of these live? how does the optical sensor handle a dark venue? does it effect its operation?
I'm not too educated on 'vibe' pedals.
You can get these sounds out of a phaser that has enough knobs to customize the sound right?
What song is that at 2:18? I'm pretty sure its Hendrix, it sounds so good! Andy you rule
It's Electric Ladyland.
Not a bad pedal but I would still go with dunlops univibe
@rodrigobanjo yeah , i guess it's like that for me

I got A LOT of married pedal-geeks friends...They just prefer stompbox talk than cheaptalk....you decide!
LOOOOOOOOOOL
@MadrigueraRecords Electric Ladyland Jimi Hendrix
yes i am looking up pedal demos on UA-cam
yes i am interested in their tones
no i dont have a woman
este pedal suena muy bien, realmente ese control óptico es innecesario, es solo para que los ingenuos lo compren
@ramonesrule1234 Uhh, no dood.
2:16 - twitch - jizz. Im done.
i dont like this pedal at all. Ill stick with the Deja vibe 2
