Pan, you have been a godsend for me someone who just bought a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport and am tired of going to the car wash for subpar washes and after doing some math decided that in the long run it's going to benefit me to detail my own car to the standard that I choose. For the last 2 weeks I've been assembling machines and ordering parts and watching hours and hours of UA-cam videos and that's where you have been such a honest, level straight shooter who understands the intricacies of this hobby/career depending on your dedication.

THIS IS THE PAN THAT MADE YOU!!!! Holy crap, do more of this!!!! We love your reviews and tutorials, Pan. I'm going out right now to wash my car....and I have an IK sprayer sitting on the table behind me. Fantastic timing.....thank you for this.
So great to be a guest on Pan’s channel once again. Since this video was shot, I have purchased a few Marolex pump sprayers including the Axel Foamer 2000. I’m happy to report I achieved a satisfying foam using Maniac Line’s Wheel & Tyre Cleaner. Thanks to Pan and the DIY Detail team for inspiring me to take another stab at foaming pump sprayers. Stay RAD everyone! 🤘
After I added a Schrader valve to my IK Foam Pro 2, I got a lot better and more consistent foam. It was a game changer, especially with Adam's Wheel and Tire Cleaner.
Thanks, Pan. Yes, he will be successful. I use an iK Foam Pro 12 with the default medium setting soap metering orifice. The soap I use is Gyeon's Foam, diluted to a 4% solution by volume in distilled water and filling it only about ½ way up. The canister does get fully pressurized and it is a good aerobic exercise for me. The foam I get is fantastic and cleans the car really well. I also fill the canister with clear water at the end and flush the soap residue out of everything by pumping clear water through it.
I have a Foam Pro 2+ since I work at a dealership and have an air line in my bay. It takes seconds to fill the sprayer with the compressor. I use 3D Super Degreaser 28:1 for foaming tires. Great combo!
Thanks Pan, i appreciate the explanation, i have the IK Foamer. I was having that problem too, i saw the extra pieces but had no clue what to do with them. I detail cars for friends and family and some times i go them. The Foamer is great. I don't have to take foam cannons and pressure washers. Now that i know what i was doing wrong. Keep content like this coming.
Thank you for this video I have 2 of these foamers and they have been riding the bench for 2 years. I took them apart made sure everything is right and pumped it until the air release and I have perfect foam..I will be putting them back in the starting line up! Thanks again!
Fun fact: you can actually convert a foam sprayer to a multi sprayer and vice-versa with some replacement parts from IK. My favorite hack is to convert an IK Foam Pro 2+ (with the integrated Schrader valve) to a Multi 360 sprayer so that I can just fill it from the compressed air lines that I have plumbed in my garage. The one and only video I have on my channel shows how it is done. I'm also looking forward to the battery compressor version that IK is releasing very soon.
I use the Milwaukee M18 tire inflator to keep my IK pump sprayer going forever. Foam never stops coming out since the tire inflator keeps the PSI around 30-40 PSI
So pleased to know the correct way to do it cos I bought one today, but think I might get the battery one when I can 😊. Thanks heaps for this video Pan👍
Nice collaboration Pan ! Personal message to Rick : Let's see if you will get some reverse foam with it 🤣🤣🤣 All jokes aside, go for the Pro + version with the schrader valve that will avoid arm fatigue 😜 Cheers to you all guys 😉

Really nice video as your knowledge and ability to explain the product shined. I have these sprayers abc they work like new even after years. By all means purchase the model which has a valve for air. My shoulder ended up in therapy from pumping 50-70 pumps. Thank you for the video and I hope your family is doing well.

I can’t believe all it took was a 25 minute video to address my IK pressure sprayer issue. I have both types, and the regular sprayer works fine, but like Rick, I could never get the foam I had seen on videos. Thanks for this. I feel a little embarrassed that I never reached out to find out what I was doing wrong. And as Pan has said, the Marolex sprayers work really great as well. Now I have 5 sprayers (2 - IK and 3 Marolex) in my arsenal. 😂😂🇨🇦🇨🇦

Two of my favorite Canadians in the same video, fantastic! I too struggled a bit with dilutions from time to time but found a sweet spot with Brake Buster in my IK Foam Pro2. However, I am still getting mixed results for actual soaps in the Foam Pro 12. It sounds like 32:1 is a good starting point and would be easier this way for pre diluting with gallon jugs for consistency. Rick, I'd highly recommend stocking up on those filters as I have found those to be the majority of my issues getting good decent foam.
A foam cannon always attaches to a pressure washer. If you have just a garden hose, you could look into a foam gun (not a foam cannon). Those obviously won't generate as much foam as a proper foam cannon and pressure washer setup though. To give you an idea, see my comparison video of a foam cannon VS a foam gun : ua-cam.com/video/rJPk8nR8Ib0/v-deo.htmlsi=Y-Pi69rygRhvD16Y
Thanks for the reply your products are great. I own a pump one and a pressure washer but so much work to get it out and use saw that chemical guys had one that just hooked up to a hose not a pressure washer.

@@PanTheOrganizer i've been watching you for years and have bought many of the products you tested , my wife may not like you too much thou. have tried your shampoo and love it. need to use up the other products first. sorry to hear the Adams advance was going bad after 2 1/2 years, that's what applied on my 3 cars.
Hehe tell your wife that Pan approves all your future purchases. ;) And yeah the Adam's actually did quite well for 2.5 years. We do have harsh winters with road salt here in Montreal, and the car is often kept outside all day long, so naturally I didn't expect it to actually last 9 years. I would have liked 4+ years though.
Keep in mind all the other factors we spoke about in the video to get good foam. Many variables. What soap are you using? What dilution? Is your foam filter clogged or used inside the pump head? Do you have hard water issues? etc
Hi Mark. I haven't used Touch-Less in an IK foamer, so you'd have to follow the instructions on the label, or contact BH for assistance. Getting the correct PIR takes calculations, it's not a simple task with BH products unfortunately.
PAN - I really wish I would have known you were coming to Omaha! I live about 20 miles south of DIY Detail. I would have loved to shake your hand and say hi while you were at DIY, or when you explored Harbor Freight! By the way, just purchased my first "Clean by Pan" product--Panel Prep Spray. I still have plenty of other products from your earlier recommendations; but I'm looking forward to when they're used up so I can explore more "Clean" products. That said; I may have to buy additional products ahead of schedule to take advantage of your Black Friday Month!

Hier soir, j' ai pu tester Clean shampoo.
He pan got a question, but it’s outside of the video Anyways if I use meguiras Ultimate snow foam or turtle wax Snow foam on a regular car soap will it enhance foaming ?
I just wanted to say thank you for another great video. This video did help me with some of question I have about the Ik foam pro. Another question I do have, is how to do you actually mix the chemicals in the foam pro. Should you put the water in first and then the soap or vice versa? When you put the soap in the container, should you shake the container with the soap? One of the biggest problems I have is when I put soap in the water, the soap just goes straight to the bottom and it does not seem to mix in the water? How do i fix this issue or it just supposed to be that way. Or should you use a stirrer to mix the water and the soap, any recommendation on what to stir it with? Thank you for any advice you can give me, another great video!
Awesome video; very informative! I was wondering Pan since we both live in Canada; me on the East Coast and you in Quebec, would you be able to do a video at some point about rust proofing our vehicles? That would be awesome! Keep up the great work! Also I love your I've been using your Clean line for the past three weeks and they are amazing! Love the smells!
Sunshine has nothing to do with the performance of a pump sprayer. For the wind, it can be an issue even with a regular trigger sprayer. So you have to adjust accordingly.
Awesome video Pan! My question, and i think you touched on it a bit, is which sprayer do i use for which application? I think you mentioned the regular sprayer for rinseless, could the foaming also be used for rinseless? Is it important to have multiple sprayer to ensure we limit cross contamination between products or would proper cleaning between each use of different chemicals be sufficient? A quick rundown of what each sprayer would be used for would be awesome. Thanks again for the content.
It’s as simple as this: products meant to foam in the foaming pump sprayers. Products that aren’t meant to foam in the regular pump sprayer. Most rinseless washes aren’t meant to be foamed. Only a handful can foam a bit like the DIY Detail but there is not advantage to having it foam.
Yayyy Rick, i have both I.k's the foampro2 and the multipro and i have had good luck with my foam pro using Stjarnagloss sno in it, i get amazing foam! I hope when you go home you get amazing foam from your sprayer!🥰
I’ve been guilty of having sub par foam when using my IK foam sprayer since about a week after I purchased it. Thanks to you guys I’m officially a foaming pro. Why the heck wasn’t this video included in the instructions!?
@ It was actually the little O ring in the tip. It started sputtering out of the tip when I’d pump it lol. I just changed it out with the other tip that came with it as a sort of temporary working solution but it was a very wet not foamy foam. I noticed the O ring was lodged in there all screwy and after getting it set right it’s been working great! Thanks again!
Just used my new MTM PF22.2 FOAM CANNON with my Active 2.0 and I had a decent foam but really wet. I’m using DIY Incredible Suds. How do I dry it up a bit? The orifice is the 1.25 mm
@9252LIFE I actually have two of these MTM Foam Cannons: different generations. You should change the orifice to the 1.1 included one. If that doesn't work, increase the amount of car soap you use. I like putting in around 6 OZs and filling the rest with hot water. If that doesn't work, your electric pressure washer just doesn't have enough PSI/GPM. You can try different soaps. Meguairs Gold Standard makes decent foam
Hi Daniel. Did you watch the entire video? You should always dilute your soaps. As we mentioned in this video, Yvan's recommended dilution for this pump sprayer was 1:32 So we used 1 oz of soap in the pump sprayer and filled the rest with water.
It's a question of personal preference really. I like Retyre from the bottle it comes with, with the CarPro foaming trigger sprayer. Not the best spray pattern but it works. If you want to buy a gallon size and pour some in a foaming pump sprayer you can do that too.
Yeah start with 1 oz in the pump sprayer and add more if you feel you want more foam. Keep in mind more foam doesn’t mean more cleaning power. It’s just visual bliss hehe.
I wanted to share my experience without watching the video yet. Hopefully I can get a few tips and tricks from the IK Foamer. I just received a brand new Foam Pro 2 and when I pressurized it the foamer leaked from all of the seals. Everything snug and it’s all brand new. Hopefully I can figure out what happened in this video. Edit: Finished the video. I was using Brake Buster 3:1 with distilled water. I haven’t tried it again after my first leaky experience. I’ll give it another go and I’ll contact support if I have issues.
You’re not alone in having challenges right out of the box. This exact thing has happened to me on more than one occasion with IK products. Thats why I opted for a pair of Marolex sprayers.
We also met in person at the Creator’s Summit at Car Supplies Warehouse in Chicago in 2023. :) Rick lives out in Calgary in Western Canada and I’m from Montreal on the East Coast. Many hours of plane ride separate us unfortunately. If he was in the same city we’d see each other all the time. He is such a great human.
@@RADGaragehe never said he was a professional detailer… he has a youtube channel, since when having a youtube channel makes you automatically a professional 🤦🏻♂️
Let’s stick to the facts. Rick never claimed to be a professional detailer. He’s a teacher that is passionate about detailing. And he’s certainly not a liar. It’s not that he was getting zero foam. He just wasn’t getting great foam. Believe it or not, I often receive messages from viewers who can’t get a foaming pump sprayer to foam well or even a foam cannon to foam well. There are so many variables at stake. The Rag Company had many videos on the topics a few years ago as they were getting many calls and emails from frustrated customers who couldn’t get their IK pump sprayer to foam and often times it was simply user error. So it’s important to share tips and tricks as many people benefit from watching videos like this.
@@bstewartexecutivecarcare3797If you love what you do regardless if you get paid or not, then you don't need to be called a professional. To profess in the business world is to sell people quality. People have grown and relied on the "professional" attachment.

I use the Pro2 with a battery tyre compressor and it’s so much easier to use.
What is the best foam cannon that only hooks up to a garden hose

@@PanTheOrganizer i've been watching you for years and have bought many of the products you tested
, my wife may not like you too much thou. have tried your shampoo and love it. need to use up the other products first. sorry to hear the Adams advance was going bad after 2 1/2 years, that's what applied on my 3 cars.
So Pan you accidentally on purpose spraying Rick, bust me up lol, great video guys 👍😁
@@davestewart9146 Not very professional! 💦
😂😂😂
As always, great learning video! I now know that I'm not pumping mine up enough so the foam is weak.
Glad the video was helpful.
Great video guys. I always used the orange tip based on the box description but the foam has not been great. I will now try the grey one.
Keep in mind all the other factors we spoke about in the video to get good foam. Many variables. What soap are you using? What dilution? Is your foam filter clogged or used inside the pump head? Do you have hard water issues? etc
@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you Pan, all very good points for sure.
Well-timed video, Pan! I really need to get my pump sprayer situation sorted out. Especially with rinse-less season coming up.
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful.
What's Best dilution for bilthamber touchless snow foam on ik snow foamer?
BH dilution rates are way above my head.
Hi Mark. I haven't used Touch-Less in an IK foamer, so you'd have to follow the instructions on the label, or contact BH for assistance. Getting the correct PIR takes calculations, it's not a simple task with BH products unfortunately.
@PanTheOrganizer thanks Pan! Keep up the good reviews! I'm very happy with it!
Merci Guy! J'espère que tu as passé un beau weekend.

Great video sir. It was very useful information. I knew he was going to be successful.
Thank you for watching! I appreciate it. 🙏🏻
@PanTheOrganizer You're welcome. I appreciate your dedication to the community.
He pan got a question, but it’s outside of the video
Anyways if I use meguiras Ultimate snow foam or turtle wax Snow foam on a regular car soap will it enhance foaming ?
Hey Pan, any updated tools/chemicals for cleaning headliners?
I'm gonna say yes. Glean your damn nozzles BABY!
well of course he has Pan the Organizer assisting him!!!!!!

@@CarsWithKeavThe malfunctioning foam sprayers represents only the tip of the iceberg.

Thanks for the feedback Stephen! Glad to hear you are enjoying CLEAN By Pan products!
Fantastic video! Thank you!

Which works best with bilt hamber touchless?
Nice and great day for Rick to foam a lot😜
Haha yes! 💪🏻
Koch Chemie GSF is one of the best foam for that canon
Lots of good info. Thanks for the video. How do any of these products work in the real world of my driveway outdoors with wind and sunshine?
Sunshine has nothing to do with the performance of a pump sprayer. For the wind, it can be an issue even with a regular trigger sprayer. So you have to adjust accordingly.
Do you believe you can do other brands as well ? I have a Kwazar one but not completely satisfied or sure I'm doing it well
@@Bull1the1Great I had issues with Kwazar too. I recently picked up the Axel 2000 foamer and so far so good.
@ thanks as always Pan!
No worries. Have a good weekend Karl!
@@PanTheOrganizer you as well! Good luck/have fun at SEMA!
Yayyy Rick, i have both I.k's the foampro2 and the multipro and i have had good luck with my foam pro using Stjarnagloss sno in it, i get amazing foam! I hope when you go home you get amazing foam from your sprayer!🥰
Thanks for sharing!
I recently picked up two Marolex sprayers. I’m hopeful. 🤞
@@RADGarage I am too!
I’ve been guilty of having sub par foam when using my IK foam sprayer since about a week after I purchased it. Thanks to you guys I’m officially a foaming pro. Why the heck wasn’t this video included in the instructions!?
@@joetalksskating7382 That’s great news. What was the defining factor?
@ It was actually the little O ring in the tip. It started sputtering out of the tip when I’d pump it lol. I just changed it out with the other tip that came with it as a sort of temporary working solution but it was a very wet not foamy foam. I noticed the O ring was lodged in there all screwy and after getting it set right it’s been working great! Thanks again!
Just used my new MTM PF22.2 FOAM CANNON with my Active 2.0 and I had a decent foam but really wet. I’m using DIY Incredible Suds. How do I dry it up a bit? The orifice is the 1.25 mm
Did you close the valve on the foam cannon all the way?
Switch to a gas powered pressure washer and get amazing foam. GPM matters. Add more soap and change the orifice too
@@azayreyes4917 yes
@@henri6595 I’m inside a closed building.
😂
Was the product not diluted because it was recommended as such or to get more intense foaming ?
Hi Daniel. Did you watch the entire video? You should always dilute your soaps. As we mentioned in this video, Yvan's recommended dilution for this pump sprayer was 1:32
So we used 1 oz of soap in the pump sprayer and filled the rest with water.
I have that battery powered foam sprayer and have used it quite a lot. I think it's very good
Good to know!
If you have a product that naturally foams when spraying (something like CarPro ReTyre) would you use that in a Pump Foamer or Pump Sprayer?
It's a question of personal preference really. I like Retyre from the bottle it comes with, with the CarPro foaming trigger sprayer. Not the best spray pattern but it works. If you want to buy a gallon size and pour some in a foaming pump sprayer you can do that too.
He will be successful 👊🏼
🙌🏻
@ very impressed with your new line of products 👍🏽💎Great job Pan
Thanks! I appreciate it. 🙏🏻
Would I still use the 1/32 dilution ratio for clean shampoo?
Yeah start with 1 oz in the pump sprayer and add more if you feel you want more foam.
Keep in mind more foam doesn’t mean more cleaning power. It’s just visual bliss hehe.
😊
Goodddddddddd video 🙂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

How do we get reverse foaming action (from bottom to the top) out of a IK foamer? 😛

Failure is not an option for Rick when you have Pan on your side.
When it comes to Auto Detailing Pan definitely knows more on this subject than AI.
I appreciate that! 🙏🏻
So it takes DIY Detail and a trip to Omaha to bring you two together?😁
We also met in person at the Creator’s Summit at Car Supplies Warehouse in Chicago in 2023. :)
Rick lives out in Calgary in Western Canada and I’m from Montreal on the East Coast. Many hours of plane ride separate us unfortunately.
If he was in the same city we’d see each other all the time. He is such a great human.
No way I'm pumping that much to foam a car. That's a full workout.
Hehe Marolex pump sprayers I find keep their pressure longer. But IK will have a small battery powered sprayer soon.
Jesus the bots are out in force on this video
Yeah all content creators have issues like that. We report them to UA-cam but nothing is being done.
Never had issues with foam, my issue was it never held the pressure.
I heard they are releasing a battery powered version. :)

Thanks so much time to change my filter
You're welcome!
Whats wirh all the bot comments? 5/5
It’s becoming more and more of an issue for all content creators. We report them to UA-cam but nothing is being done about it.
So I'm supposed to sit here believing professional detailer couldn't get an IK sprayer to foam ? ? ? 🙄🤔 Come on man !!
What exactly is a belated professional detailer?
@@RADGaragehe never said he was a professional detailer… he has a youtube channel, since when having a youtube channel makes you automatically a professional 🤦🏻♂️
Believe it or not Rick did have issues getting foam with an IK. I think some of it was defective products.

Really nice video as your knowledge and ability to explain the product shined. I have these sprayers abc they work like new even after years. By all means purchase the model which has a valve for air. My shoulder ended up in therapy from pumping 50-70 pumps. Thank you for the video and I hope your family is doing well.
Yeah I agree Neil. The model with a valve is a must. They are apparently releasing a new version with integrated battery pump!
