Will no one else comment on how WELL they're singing WHILE they're dancing so beautifully? Great vocal choral work on top of all that splendid dancing makes this all the more thrilling to watch and listen to! Sheer heaven!

So good to have this record of a fantastic number in the best production of this show!!
Tragedy it has had to close, it should have run forever. The talent of the cast was out of this world!

Marvelous, and even more magnificent to see it on the stage last week. Many thanks for sharing.

He wasn't. He was the understudy. Ashley Day was off when they recorded it live so he got his big chance to shine :)

Is it normal for men to wear dress shirts for rehearsal?

Because this is for the press, they where probably advised to (or wanted to) dress up and look presentable. Not the normal wear for rehearsals.

You can see in the mirror at the back (and from the applause) that there's quite a few people watching! So it's likely that it was a semi-staged/semi-costumed run-through. Potentially for press, friends and family, producers, etc. If it were a normal rehearsal without people watching, they would probably not be in dress shirts.

Possibly could have been in that attire to get a feel for what they would be wearing on stage during the performance I assume it's closer to opening night here so that would make sense as well

Love rehearsal footage; you get to see real people, not performers . . . if you know what I mean. (Hope that girl's tap improved before the opening.)

Having been a chorus boy at about their age, I can imagine how thrilled they are to be in a potentially long-running show.

I'm going to try to watch each chorus boy throughout the entire number one at a time just for the hell of it.

    why is this so slow?????

Because they had only just learnt it. It got brighter in production.
