Small mistake in the intro riff tab, the first note is 3rd fret, not 2nd, and the 2nd note is 7th fret, not 5th. Get full (correct) tabs for this lesson here: www.patreon.com/posts/14059515 More jams on instagram: instagram.com/tenthumbspro/
One of my favorite teachers on UA-cam, thanks for all of your good vibes. Don't want to be the ''Freebird'' guy in the front row but you're the only one putting up hard to find tutorials (ie. this, Subterranean Homesick Blues, etc.) Wondering if you would consider having a crack at Hank Williams - I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry. Being a drummer, never thought I would play a stringed instrument, so thanks for the inspiration!
You have intrigued my senses and the need for playing the blues. Never ever did i think i could or want to play the blues. Also this has made learning the scales way more fun. 🤙🤙thank yoou thank you. And the shirt IS Awesome!
Thank you so much. In my opinion you are THE BEST ukulele teacher on UA-cam. And the nicest 😋 I love Johnny Cashs songs ❤ Especially the underrated not so popular ones (unlike Folsom Prison Blues, it's not not so popular 😅)
I love ukulele and I watched all your video on ukulele. However I also started learning baritone ukulele. Do you play baritone? Will you have any video for Bari?
Hey Harrison, I enjoy Baritone Ukulele as well, but I don't own one. Further down the line I would love to but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Sorry man.
To convert the tab you would have to just not use the E and A strings. maybe find the note that youd be playing on those strings and find the same one on the ones you have on your bari uke for example if it said 1 on the A string, you would have to find an A# on the Dgb or e string you have on the uke
Hey Tyler I just noticed the intro riff on the pdf printout is different from what you are teaching in the video. should I learn the song by the video and change the pdf? check it out.
@@TenThumbsProductions After posting this comment I saw that you had posted a correction in comments. So I'm thinking the pdf is the correct one. Happy New Year.
@@angiegeis3944 that’s good! I like solve things as quickly as possible and I’m away with family for New Years, good to hear that it had a happy ending. Happy strumming!
It is close, he doesn't use that mute sound, but it is more of a muted strum without a full mute. Johnny Cash's strumming style was famous for sounding like a freight train, so it is essentially the same but not a full mute and more of a muffled sound. Rock on man!
Playing the song with the lyrics started to make the videos too long, I would encourage playing with the actually track. Having said that, I am strongly considering another Tenthumbs channel dedicated to just play-a-long, so you think that would be beneficial? It would mean a lot more work, but it might help a lot of people.

OMG THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are very welcome friend.
Lol I was just talking about how much I love Hawaiian shirts on men! You look and sound great!
I met Johnny Cash and June!
You are producing a classic tone on that Martin. You deserve full credit but...could you share the model number and strings? Great sound. Thanks.
my secret weapon is my ears! cheers!
Dude!! Thank you for this! Just learned Hurt the other day! Bless your soul Tyler. Maybe some cocaine blues next?! ;)
Thanks Ozzy, always pumped when we can make some Ukulele goals come true. Johnny Cash is always a strong possibility.
Thankyou ☺️
Great lesson, great son BUT... I can't find the PDF on your website to buy it :(
Sin duda!
A lo bien!
Ughhhh that b flat is a killer🙄🙄 great vid tho
It can be tricky to get it, but once you can it will open up the Ukulele big time.
I love ukulele and I watched all your video on ukulele. However I also started learning baritone ukulele. Do you play baritone? Will you have any video for Bari?
baritone uke is much different from a normal uke. A baritone uke is tuned dgbe and is played more like a guitar with the low E and A strings removed
Hey Harrison, I enjoy Baritone Ukulele as well, but I don't own one. Further down the line I would love to but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Sorry man.
Ok. But will you know any easy way to convert from guitar to baritone, or any idea how to? I mean fingerpicking or tabs.

I’ll have to take a look and I won’t be near a computer until Monday. Have you tried both versions? Does either one feel more right than the other?

Isn't the strum pattern actually dDUdDU? Not saying that what you said doesn't fit.

Does anyone have this riff in Key of D or Key of G ?
Sorted the first two notes as they didn't sound right, and continuing the solo using my secret weapon, n
Haha, awesome secret weapon. Good job using them too I totally messed up the intro tab.
Why are my captions on Arabic
Hey thats wrong! you dont make 1/2 rythm...small notes I dont care but generally it is not Cash rythm, accent is all the time on 2nd
where is the play?

What ? Have I been reading tabs the wrong way
Hey. Great tune. But for the opening riff shouldn't it be on that A.,. 3 3 3 7 7. The tab shows 2 2 2 55
