How to make: Cardboard M4 - Part II (Upper Receiver)

Here’s the second part to the how to video for my M4 rifle. Enjoy!
Material list:
Cardboard or Foam board (your preference)
Cutting utensil (scissors, utility knife, etc)
Cardboard tubes (3 from paper towels, 2 from aluminum foil)
Notebook with wire
Painting tape (optional)
Hot glue gun with glue sticks
Crafting sticks (aka popsicles sticks)
Ruler
Pencil
Reference

Thinking of adapting the tutorial for the M16, looks like I can just replace the buffer tube with the full stock with a compartment for the spring right?

There is a problem that the spring is getting shorter when i compress it. What should I do to prevent the spring from getting shorter dud?

I would just a bigger spring. I've noticed that the ones I use would start compressing after a couple of pulls so i started using ones that's bigger than what I would need.

I get mines off of those notebooks with the wire. I'd keep the paper and covers too. Just carefully cut them off though. 👌🏾
