I keep coming back to this video, such beautiful music. I'm saving up to buy a practice set and start learning, I can only dream of ever being able to play a fraction as well as this.
Amazing, just found your channel. I was lucky enough when a university student to live in a city where there was an open discotheque, selected with very good knowledge of music, there I got my foundation on music. "Prosperous" was amongst the records I'd listen often and it stayed one of my favourite records till today. I still visit it sometimes. I have yet to visit Ireland instead. This is a Gem, Thank you guys.
This is the house I was born in and lived there for about seventy-five years or so. It's called Downings House -- not Dowling's, a very common mistake. The boys are playing in the old dairy room where I used to churn butter as a lad. Planxty actually played next door in the old kitchen where we had a fire going burning furniture. Great to see the old house still alive and well and to hear the music still being played. Well done lads!! And thanks Ger Masterson, the present Lord of the Manor for allowing this to happen.
Crehan's NAAS t-shirt made me guffaw!

It was a great experience to play there, I’m glad the album meant a lot to you. Fantastic recording :)
