Fantastic review. I have the HC Pro but have never fired an original HC. As you stated, I just love the way the Pro fits my hand…and that is extremely important for your confidence. Great feel and confidence lead to accurate shooting!
my girlfriend bought me a hellcat pro that was on a black friday sale for christmas and it came with a threaded barrel, green dot sights, a light and 4 17 round steel mags and some other stuff and she paid 750 for it..i knew at SOME point id get a hellcat myself but she helped cross it off my list sooner then expected and i LOVE it, its a nice firearm.
I purchased the Hellcat Pro several months ago and after shooting at my local range I am in love with the pistol. Iron sights are awesome, mild recoil, and 15/17 round mags. Also got the free $300 gear up package. 5 mags, extra case and came installed with a green dot. The Hellcat Pro is now my everyday carry, no questions asked!
You should do a ranking system of your top 10 EDCs and the recoil rating it 1-10 and then tally up the scores to see what your top 3 is. You can do another video w the comfort level for concealment too ranking it 1-10 and lastly one on trustworthiness/reliability how safe u feel 1-10. Those would be good videos.
I am really loving your channel after recently finding it. I carry a Taurus GX4 TORO as my EDC. Upgrades stainless steel striker sleeve, stainless steel firing pin bushing, stainless steel slide cap with set screw, stainless steel ported barrel, and Holosun HS407K X2 Red Dot. I carry it in a “We The People Holster”.
I picked up a Hellcat Pro and liked it so much I bought a Desert Tan OSP. I’ve shot a lot of rounds through both Hellcats. I had heard so much about the snappiness of the original that I bought the RDP Barrel / Comp from Springfield . After shooting the original with several hundred rounds of 124 American Eagle as well as HST, I was very pleasantly surprised that to me I preferred the recoil impulse of the original a little more then the Pro. Now I’m not sure if or when I’ll use the RDP Barrel/ Comp. Very pleased with both Hellcats. Super reliable, great sights and magazines. For me the finger extension 11 round mag on the original is my favorite.
Awesome video bro! Luckily I have no problems concealing the pro cause I have a lot of extra gut to help! I now carry my Pro more then any other firearm. I added a Holsun also (which really isn’t a necessity) 10:49 but 🤷♂️ . I just shoot it so well. You made some great points here. Thanks!
I loved everything about the Shield Plus except for how difficult it is to operate the manual safety. Since the thumb safety was a requiement for me, I had to pass on it. I have seen mods to improve it, though, so it may be in my rotation one day.
@@JiggavelI didn't buy it because of how stiff the thumb safety was, but I wanted one with an accessible thumb safety. Purchased a Hellcat with the manual thumb safety instead.
@@FogHazard you honestly shouldn't need a safety if you have a decent holster. it just adds another layer you have to get through in a possible life or death situation. just keep your finger off the trigger.
I got my Taurus G3C TORO for $320. Then spent $150 for dlc barrel and steel recoil assemby. Added a Burris FastFire 2 I got on sale for $150. Added two 15 rnd mags for another $80. That's right around $700 which is comparable to an off the shelf HellCat Pro with an additional optic.
@@GSek11 I like the HP but something about those are snappier than they should be for the 3.7 barrel. Also I can go down to default 12rnd for ultra concealment or up all the way to 17rnds as the bigger G3 version mags are compatible as well. Mind you the steel guide rod and slightly heavier spring make it flatter shooting than stock.
I have both the HCP and the G3c. I do enjoy shooting the Taurus at the range, and it is a surprisingly fun pistol. However, when it comes to trusting my life to an edc, the G3c just has not yet earned my trust, nor is it as slim and easy to conceal. To me, they are like the Hyundai that will explode at 100k miles (or before), and the Honda that will do 300k+ miles. The trust in the G3c just isn’t there for me, especially when I can get the whole package in a Pro for less money and aftermarket work.
@@woodystube1000 I've actually considered the HCO, especially now since they come with a 17rnd mag. Do you actually find it more concealable despite the longer barrel?
@@Tusk_Tact not really much difference in my opinion. As you said well, the harder part to conceal is the extended grip. I use a “holster claw” on my iwb holsters which really does help keep the end of the grip flush against you instead of sticking out. I have found Rounded by Concealment holsters to be my favorite, but a lot of kydex holster manufacturers have similar gadgets for their iwb holsters. Considering you’re using a similar holster rig, I think the HC Pro is currently one of the best compromises between concealability, shootability, capacity and price.
I carry a Glock 19 for duty with nothing but upgraded sights, but my EDC is a Hellcat Pro with CT Rad Micro red dot, Apex trigger, and Talon grips. McKinatek IWB holster makes concealment easy. It's a super reliable firearm.

All great choices! I have all of them and like the 27 better still. It’s just so short with the flush mag and I can bring any size mag with me as backup. After that I like the hellcat pro, then the 43x then the reflex! Respect
Great comparison! Yeah that Gear Up package is a good deal. Plan to rent a HellCat Pro and if I like it, hopefully will find that package deal. Did have a Shield Plus and while I liked it, the grip even with the 13rd mag made it difficult to get a consistent draw. G26 is much easier. I’m hoping that the HellCat Pro is just that perfect in between to get an easier grip/draw but still be slimmer overall than the G26.
It is sad that more people aren't aware of your channel or have a bias against small firearms. For a long time I was stuck on carrying a Glock 19 but the comfort of the micro pistols is so much better. Now that I have found my level of comfort I carry a hellcat in shorts or a hellcat pro in pants. I don't even carry my compacts anymore even in winter when they are easy to hide.

Nice selection of carry guns. I bought a Hellcat Pro to replace my Shield and Shield Plus, more rounds, light bearing and optics ready. Can’t quite get there just yet, the trigger is so mediocre in the Hellcat Pro. Trying out a little MCARBO/Powder River Precision experiment, hoping for the best. Slightly interesting that you have all these guns and no upgraded sights or trigger? Not your thing?
@@RanTausi Similar, if you don’t add a rail light or red dot. The Pro is slightly longer both ways, closer to the size of the Shield Plus 4” with the extended magazine installed.
@@mi_cheap_guns2925 So what is better? I am not planning to add light maybe a red dot in the future. Taking into consideration that the Shield plus with 13 mag is the same length of the grip as the Hellcat pro with flat 15 magazine.
@@RanTausi I’ve been a Shield/Shield Plus EDC guy for probably close to 10 years now, hard for me to say the Pro is better. If the couple rounds of capacity are important to you, if I remember right, the 15 extended Equalizer magazines are compatible in the Plus. It’s basically a slim 26, if you compare the barrel length it’s essentially a slim 26, just as the 48 is the “brother” to the 19. The slims personally fit my hands SO much better than their double stack counterparts, but I have the double stacks for duty use. The slims are my preferred off duty/CCW/EDC carry.
So a Glock 26 then… Because the 43X is essentially a “smaller, thinner” 26. If you compare the barrel length the 26=43X, and a 48=19. If you want double stack, then just go 26.
What imagine here is what I’d call a 19S or 26S. Same width grip to accept OEM double stack mags (maybe they can rework the backstrap) but just a slimmer slide like the 43X/48 to make it slimmer in the waistband. Same idea as the G30S.
We’re almost identical size and weight and I too find it hard to carry anything larger than my CR920P. I carry my MR920 with a comp but I wear looser shirts and people have said it looks like I’m swimming in my shirt. 5’7”-5’9” 160-190 lbs have the hardest time not printing in the summer.
I wondered the same thing! I have the Hellcat and pro and realized that the pro slide fits the OG Hellcat. Unfortunately, my holsters don’t accommodate!!!!
I’m sorry call me lame but I always avoided the Hellcat just because of the name…Hellcat… imagine using it in a self-defense situation going to court for some a hole prosecutor making a big deal because you used a firearm called the “Hellcat” it’s just fits in that category with those RIP rounds and Zombie Max.
Hellcat pro sucks! 2x4 grip, the undercut under the trigger is terrible for medium to large hands. Diggs into my middle finger. Can barely find any aftermarket parts, just a handful of choices. Snappy, shittiest trigger I have ever used. Should I keep going?
bashing the hellcat pro seems redundant since you already have the original hellcat which pretty much takes care of all your issues. comparing the hellcat pro to a glock 26 or a p365 seems almost dishonest, it compares more to a glock 19 or a p365 xl.
Hellcat Pro has the best grip of any firearm, great sights and excellent capacity in my opinion.

Sweet collection
I carry the g2c with a 15+1...ammo is the T serious 147 grain.... I have did 7 combat levels of shooting with the g2c and over all put 1600 rounds through it and never had a malfunction... Will never buy anything else but taurus
Love my original Hellcat!! Extremely reliable unlike my Sig. Don’t buy Sig!!
The Glock 43X with PSA Micro 15 round mags is by far the best EDC option at this moment.
I like the hellcat pro. So what about the FN reflex
Can't get into hellcat trigger. It's at the bottom of list for me.
Had the hell cat and traded for a 43x mos. Both great guns
great video, thanks
I love mine, but hate the trigger
I carry a shadow systems cr920p with sig v crown 124g in a c&g alpha holster
The hellcat pro has better recoil because it has a longer barrel. I own the first hellcat and the pro.
I really believe that a Glock 43X with a wider handle with a double stack mag could be a super great gun.
Well said! Agreed!
Lol if only they made that!
So a Glock 26 then…
Because the 43X is essentially a “smaller, thinner” 26.
@@davidt5085 guys - I’m pretty sure the original commenter was being sarcastic and talking about the already iconic G19
Yuuuup, I always have to keep my belt super tight so the wing on my holster pulls to my body as much as it can. I'm 5'9" 157 btw
Glock said no lol
Original Hell cat is just to small I have the Hell cat pro the smith Shield plus and the Sig 365X . I carry Glock 21 in the winter
I carry a sawed off in the winter
Good video
I like having less guns to train on. Consistency is key. Im thinking about getting rid of my g48 for a g19... one less gun to have to get used to.
Please the RDP.
I love mine!👍
I carry hellcat pro with eps carry and my main carry is my Ruger lcp max I love them !
Today's carry.... G30 Gen4 in a Vedder LightTuck loaded with 200 grain Speer GD's
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
CZ P10S for me……
I bought a Unfired Hellcat Pro package like yours 5 mags range bag gun bag and even the big cardboard box off a Guy for $450. I couldnt pass it up.

🔥🐈💎
For the channel!!!!!
Respect!
No you bring up a valid point lol
FN REFLEX

😁
Hellcat pro sucks! 2x4 grip, the undercut under the trigger is terrible for medium to large hands. Diggs into my middle finger. Can barely find any aftermarket parts, just a handful of choices. Snappy, shittiest trigger I have ever used. Should I keep going?
bashing the hellcat pro seems redundant since you already have the original hellcat which pretty much takes care of all your issues. comparing the hellcat pro to a glock 26 or a p365 seems almost dishonest, it compares more to a glock 19 or a p365 xl.
Micros are gay
Carrying my hellcat pro now..bravo concealment holster 124gr. Hst's..🫡✊🏾💪🏾💯👉🏾💥💥💥💥
