This is an often asked question; "How do you do Google Ads Reporting for your clients?"
Well, today I show you some example reports that we TEMPLATED for our clients.
Actually, it's our Google Ads report template that I'm showing you here. We built this in our agency years ago and it updates automatically so we don't have to send out monthly reports anymore.
And it also only takes about 5 minutes to set up the report (from our template) once we get a new client. It's a time saving game changer.

Amen. This is frustrating.
I've been trying to keep reports simple, starting from the top down. How many leads and cost per lead. I think you hit it on the head: they don't care about impressions, and it only confuses the conversation when it's time to take action (changes to ads, creating a new landing page, etc.) when their heads are filled with talk about impressions.
Impressions are only important to a business owner when it's identified as a factor in getting more conversations or reducing the cost per conversion.

Our client has a weird situation that is making reporting difficult. They have a self storage company and their click from their website take users to Uhaul, where they actually make the sale... so we have no idea if the click to uhaul is an actual conversion or not... And they want detailed reports that show what clicks were from ads and caused a conversion.
Great video. You mention that you don't worry about clicks and impressions, but they are being included in your report. Why?
Because it let's us know the ads are being shown and these are 2 numbers that clients usually understand. Also, it's about transparency. We're not hiding anything from the clients. We as an agency, don't really care about clicks/impressions because they don't mean the campaign made money. Conversions mean money. But if it's not receiving conversions, clicks/impressions will tell us more about if they ads are being shown and clicked (but they don't measure any money coming into the business which is why I say we don't care as much about them).
but what about when it is a business that only needs brand awareness (it sells fine jewellery with high prices that noone will ever buy online) then what do you present when there are no conversions?@@MikeMancini
