We learned the hard way, make sure you put your luggage tracker in a non rfid pocket. Rfid blocks the signal.
Ha! Airlines hate the trackers.
@TravelTipsbyLaurie I have mine for home. I'd lose my head if it didn't have a way to keep track.
However, the tracker once saved us a headache. We left car keys at the air bnb. It notified us when we got about 2 miles away going home. Thank God or we would have had to pay Air bnb lost and found fees plus shipping
They are charging for lost & found? I can see cost of mailing. I keep being reminded why I don’t want to do Air B & B anymore.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie please tell us why airlines hate trackers
@moemoe5119 because they have to own up to mistakes much quicker and cannot sell as many "unclaimed" luggage
I love that no matter how many subscribers you have or how popular your channel is, your items are still affordable! :)
Yay! I do like investing in an item or treating myself at times. If you grew up in the 70s/80s, you love a good deal!
Your suggestions are always helpful! And I love how you don't waste time telling us about your finds -you give us the essential information and that's it. Great job!
I'm so glad!
I look forward to your shopping updates. For anyone scanning this, I am in my upper 60's and love my rolling under the seat bag!
Right! It's the only way to fly! :)
I love those tiny heavy duty ziplocs. I use them for packing everything, especially toiletries, to keep my packing light. One of them holds two week's worth of toothpaste tabs and precut dental floss, another holds all my vitamins. I keep one with some facial soap pads in my purse at all times, for use in restrooms that don't have soap.
Yes toothpaste tablets!!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie They do cut down on the liquids bag requirements!
Love your channel!! Thank you!😊
Great tips and options! Thank you for sharing 😊
Excellent suggestions-thank you.
That straw bag is great because it’s woven and not open work - learned that the hard way
Great video. So many things to aid in packing. All those items of clothing look great on you. TFS
Thank you for the tips 🎉
great video, great tips and tricks! thanks for all your ideas and expertise!
Great, great, great! As always new good stuff and oldies that we like!
Thank you so much! I bought so many of these items to get ready for our upcoming Seattle/Alaskan Cruise trip!! 🥰
Hey Laurie! Thanks for all your wonderful videos. I wanted to recommend anyone who hasn't found luck with the neck pillows (or whatever they're called) to try something I bought a few flights ago and it's great for not just flights but for cars and buses.
I couldn't remember what they call it so I just looked on my Amazon order and the specific one I decided on (based on product reviews, seller reviews, and price) was called the "JefDiee Inflatable Travel Pillow, Airplane Neck Pillow Comfortably Supports Head and Chin for Airplanes, Trains, Cars and Office Napping with 3D Eye Mask, Earplugs and Portable Drawstring Bag". There are, of course, other brands as well.
It isn't the shape of a donut like the neck bracey ones everyone wears. I use it in a few different positions (I wish I could post a picture to show!) and it has been tremendously helpful for me as someone who has never found anything else that worked.
It's also nice because you don't have to walk around the airport with it on your neck or holding onto it! You can inflate and deflate it within seconds and put it back in its little drawstring pouch :)
Wow, I plan to get many of these! Great ideas!
I have to have the double-sided eye glass case, great idea!
Another great video, putting some of these in my cart for an upcoming trip. ❤
As always, thanks for all the goodies! You help me find great things to make packing and traveling easier. Keep 'em coming!
Glad you like them!
I LOVE pockets and pouches!
Always enjoyable and helpful to watch yet another video from you ... Thanks, Laurie! 😊☀️🧳💺✈️❤️ Those toothbrush covers are great! Looking forward to warmer temperatures with those pretty dresses... I have multiple colors in a similar dress as that green one, too. 😍 Those earrings...!! That double-sized eyeglasses case...!
Glad you like them!
Thanks! Love your videos- all are so very helpful.
You are so welcome!
Love the packable jackets, and I need it to have both interior and exterior pockets. Makes me feel a lot safer against pick-pockets and purse-snatchers. You've given me some good ideas for my next trip. Thanks!
Love the madewell dupe
Love the double sided eyeglass case! That and the zip lights are going on my list for sure. I have already bought several of the other items including the folding toothbrush, RFID thin wallet, and the mesh pouches. I keep clothespins in one of the mesh bags for when I go on a cruise. Most staterooms have a clothesline in the bathroom for drying towels and swimwear.
This video is JAM packed with ideas! I'll have to watch it again to see what I'd like to add to my travel essentials. I have that little black bar soap pouch. It's so great! Taking a sliver of soap is so much better than liquid, and I know that it won't be too drying on my skin. Thanks for all of your ideas!
I absolutely love your videos. I even find some of your tips good for every day so you’re not carrying bulky stuff in you daily bag.
Always enjoy your content! LOVE the soap case! THANK YOU!
Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing all of your travel knowledge. I have followed you now for about a year I think. You always have such affordable good ideas to make travel so much easier.
As a long-time subscriber I keep thinking of you today. My husband and I are currently cooling our heels during our three hour layover in Houston. Your airport is beautiful! We have never been to Houston and hope to come back to actually visit one day. Thanks for all your great tips!
Very informative video. Will take most of ideas for my next travel.
Just received the double-sided eyeglass cases for me and hubby. These will go in our carry-on on our upcoming trip to the UK. Thanks again.
As usual, a lot of helpful tips! Thank you so very much for sharing Great video! ❤❤
Glad it was helpful!
You give THE BEST suggestions. I’m so grateful I found your channel. Your personality is awesome to go along with superb content!
Thanks so much! Did you see the summer Amazon finds? bit.ly/SummerTravelEssentialsAmazon
Hi Laurie, it was so cool to learn about the new travel products! I really liked the double-sided glasses case and am thinking about picking that up. I liked the zipper LED light too. And I found cross body bags, or slings or fanny packs to be so helpful, especially during the flight for easy access to the essentials.
Having easy access can be so helpful!
I like those little bags, I could put earrings, necklaces in there to keep them separate. Thanks Laurie, have a great day!
Excellent video as always. Thanks 😊
My pleasure!
Hey Laurie, my name is Fran. I happened upon your channel by accident & so glad I did. Your information is so useful since I travel not as much as some people but about 4-6 times a year depending on my circumstances or schedule or weather. Please keep the info going & showing useful products to save space in our luggage. Thank you.
Great video!!!!❤
I've had that Matador soap bag for a few years now and I absolutely love it
Double sided glass case....YES! Thank you so much!!!!
You got it!
Great tips thank you!
You are so welcome!
Wow! Great content.
Thank you as always for your travel tips and for the wonderful travel accessories that you share
Glad you like them!
Thanks Laurie. Best EVER travel accessories clip. Ann from Sydney Australia.
Wow, thank you!
Thanks I ordered the wet/dry soap holder and the cards for the plane. We are going on a land/cruise trip to Italy and many other places on Princess in May. Will be gone 3 weeks. Love your tips and have learned a lot. Keep it up.
Good morning thank you just love how you explain how everything you keep or dos and donts...
Thank you!
Great job!
There are some interesting items there. I particularly like the wet/dry pouch for soap. I always have a microfibre wash cloth. I usually put it in a zip lock bag in my wash bag but the pouch looks like it could be better. I also like the two in one glasses case. So handy. Love your videos Laurie, I always enjoy them. Just had my passport renewed so...where to next?
Wow! So helpful! You find the best stuff. Love your channel. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
yet another fab video! I've just ordered the little baggies and soap pouch!
Have fun!
Awesome suggestions! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Just got my double sided glass case & LOVE it! Ordering second for my husband. Thanks, Laurie!
Wonderful!
Laurie, I am so excited to finally be able to use all your amazing tips and hacks as I fly to meet my friends and family in the US. I watched you all through the Covid years, building my playlist of your videos, watching and waiting for my chance to fly, and now it's here. Flying from Scotland to Utah in October. So happy ☺️💕
Have fun! All the planning. Cannot wait to hear about it.
Glad to hear you are going to Europe, can ‘t wait to see your packing video for that, hint hint. You always give us fantastic tips! Thanks!
It'll be a few months-would love to do a river cruise. Gotta wait until teen is at college.
As always, a great and helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
you read my mind! I watch every video you put out and i was searching for must haves and saw this !!! 🎉🎉🎉
I love these especially!
I am happy to read that you are feeling better after your surgery. I look forward to each of your videos. Our family is going to Southern Italy in the Spring for one week. We have traveled internationally and continue to look for tips to streamline packing. I tend to overpack (It's the Mother in me to always be prepared! 🙂) Being very organized, I have already begun making my To-Do Lists and putting items in a bin for packing. Of course, I ordered some new Amazon items, based on your suggestions and some of my needs. Thank you for your very informative videos. You are great!
Loved the earrings! They come in a great little box, and there are so many great designs. I really appreciate your tips!
I am loving the box!
Laurie, you always knock it out of the ball park! I've put three of your recommendations in my Amazon cart and list 2 on a want list. I'm getting ready to fly to Orlando in a few weeks to meet my new grand daughter!!! I love your enthusiasm and your description of what each item is and why it's useful. Great job.
Yay! Thank you!
Thank u Laurie. We are traveling to Europe for the first time (Spain) in June. I’m trying to be prepared and pack correctly. Your videos are so helpful.
EEEK! Have a beautiful time.
Travelng to London and Iceland this June and I searched UA-cam for info on packing.....whoa! Was I ever glad to find your channel!! Thanks Laurie for all your great info/tips/ideas/items. It's been soooo helpful!
I'm also going to Iceland and London this June. Cruising on Norwegian Prima.
I REALLY appreciate that you include the links for the things you mention. Thanks!!
Happy to help! It is also affiliate fyi.
You never disappoint ❣️
How did I miss this one. Great new stuff. So much. Next hour is Amazon shopping. Ha. Thanks! ❤️👍
Hope you enjoy it!
I love, love, love the Matador soap pack. Worth every penny. I have traveled several times using them and they do exactly what they say they do. (Love your channel, Laurie!)
I’ve been using mine for a few years and love it.
Lauri, thank you again. I ordered some of those dresses because I trust your reviews. I’ve ordered before, your recommends, and are good quality, so 🙏 thank you ❤
I hope they work well. Now I would not wear either on the airplane because of dragging the ground. But I do love them.
💜💐 Awesome! TFS! 💐💜
Thanks for all the travel tips. I am going to Bali in June for a Midwifery conference and have been getting lots of good ideas from you. From Sunny Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺
Hi there! I've been watching your tips for over a year and FINALLY have a trip booked. I will fly to Scotland in September! My Christmas list included a number of your suggestions. I have saved some videos to rewatch as I haven't flown since 1994 and that was a domestic flight.
Uh Oh! As soon as I saw this pop up on my feed, I knew my “almost empty” Amazon cart/save for later was going to fill up! 11 items and still counting! I absolutely love your suggestions and have purchased/used many, many, many of them. Thank you, thank you! And my Amazon cart thanks you!❤
You should see my desk! So many things that are really good. But I need to thin out my others.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I don’t envy you that task!
I ordered a set of those coin purses to use for backpack organization and my daughter is giving one to a friend for her birthday (with a necklace and bracelet inside). They were so affordable, cute, and functional!
Creative!
You continue to educate & inspire me on the topic of travel. Thank you! Also, thanks for being sensitive to cost/budget when promoting consumer items. The money saved there may be allocated toward airfare.
I was about to chastise you for the water bottle organizer thing. I’m glad you said you’re returning it.
Haha
I’ve never seen the watch charms - cute!
Aren’t they the best?! Great gifts
Check out Lug’s waist packs too! Especially the Coupe, Coupe XL, and Hitch
That double eyeglass case!!! I'm getting one of those.
Someone said, “I’ve never bought something that fast!”
You know, you don't even have to click "show more" to open up all the descriptions and links. Just click anywhere (ANYWHERE) in the shaded area! Thanks for all of this. I've saved about 8 of them to my Amazon wishlists.
Thank you so much for turning us on to that double sided glasses case!! I have to travel with a few different pairs (vision impaired) and that would be PERFECT!!!
I love a lot of pockets
I can't WAIT to see what you pack for Europe as I think it's very important to not look like an American! And yes, they are more formal over there. Thanks, Laurie!
I actually stopped trying to fit in because we just easily stand out. My highlights especially😂
Wait, what?!!! I need to figure out where this is so I can grab one.
That glasses case is brilliant!
Why didn't we invent it? We'd be in Italy right now if we had.
I bought the clear bags and the med container . Thanks for the suggestions.
You are so welcome!
I've been searching for a crossbody bag for an upcoming trip to Europe and found one totally unexpectedly at Costco displayed next to socks & shoes. I've been testing it out for about 2 months and I'm loving it. Didn't think I would but it's great over under. Nice thick strap and fits everything. I really like the strap that doesn't cut into my shoulder.
That is great!
Wow Laurie, this list is phenomenal! I will be shopping for some of these items in preparation for my Jamaica trip! ❤️🌺🌴
Have a sunny time!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie ,oh yes!
Great video! I of course like scarves with pockets or that can work for a blanket/shawl. I also like the carabiners that you have to twist shut. They are the best for securing purse zippers or your purse or backpack to something. It just is handy to have a couple of them since they are multifunctional. Any bag that is small but can expand to be larger is bonus too. Going to try the RIFD wallet thingy on my next trip. Not carrying a heavy overstuffed bag around sightseeing frees you up to enjoy experiences. I did get a roll up water bottle as I carry a water bottle everywhere. The one I got is a little pricey but the cover for where you drink flips and protects it from germs plus it has a harder side thing that you can hold so you don’t spray water all over yourself. I tested it and it works! I can also attach my handy carabiner to it and clip it to any bag. All these things you can get on Amazon too.
Those travelon ones I linked can hold a bottle of water. Great minimalist tips!
Hi Laurie... can you do a video on comfortable travel outfits for flying stand by that meet airline dress codes (ie: United)? Love your channel!
I do have one called Airport Outfits. And I have one called what not to wear in the airplane.
I just picked up the air tags for my daughter and son-in-law who will be traveling to Italy I’ve also shared your video with them. I’m hopefully they’ll be convinced to not travel with check-in luggage. 😊 Thanks Laurie 🥰
We flew from TX to Finland and used the Apple air tag in our suitcase. It was super! We knew where our luggage was at, all the time. Even coming back to TX, we got stuck in London as our flight home was cancelled due to weather. I was thinking "oh no where is our luggage" it was right there at the airport. Our flight was rescheduled for the next morning, we knew where our luggage was. Worth every penny
Laurie these are great! I will be ordering several of your suggestions for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. We are staying at the Hale Koa. For an veteran travelers they’ve expanded their guest eligibility and veteran families should review their more inclusive availability.
Ooh nice! Have a lovely trip
Have those quartz size bags LOVE THEM!
Oh good!
There were some pretty cool looking things in your video. Just a word to those who don't like a small purse - sometimes you MUST have one or you'll be checking it in. I had that happen in Munich when visiting the Residenz. Also, the stadiums won't allow a big purse.
Thank you so much for the travel tips. I'm traveling to Turkey in the Fall .🍁 ✈️
Have fun!
Will do!!! I already purchased some items.
❤ all your videos and share with my friends. I have several trips planned including a beach destination, German Christmas markets, and a Mediterranean cruise over the next 2 years so I need all the help I can get! Keep the videos coming!
Are you able to tell us about the German Christmas markets, if you are River cruising and if so, which company? Thanks 😊
Oh how fun! Are you going with a group?
Omg I love your channel 😍
Yay I’m so gladddd!
Really great collection of clothes, bags and travel aids. I need to check the crossbodys.
They're great-pockets and roomy.
I’m definitely buying a few of your suggestions!! Eddie Bauer has a great foldable backpack(stowaway packable backpack) in 2 sizes and duffle bag(stowaway packable duffle). The compress so small.
Some new items here! thanks! You should include some kid friendly travel tips and gadgets. Since airlines are lowering their pricing, more and more families are traveling.
I know the mom's and dad's as well as everyone else on the plane love quite kids! Recently I've seen this Lusso Gear Kids Travel travel a lot. And a seat extender so little kids can lay down. Thanks!
Yes, that would help. My audience is mostly not in that age range, and others do a great job marketing those things. I do have a travel tips for kids: bit.ly/TravelKidsAirplane
Yes love the vids! Greece here I come ;)
Oh. How. Amazing.
I’m diabetic and travel with a lot of medication. Your tips are great
good assortment
Still have a few things on this list for the Airstream~ Hello Aullie & NATHAN ! GM sweet Laurie !
