as long as the train hassend passed the main signal, all signals wich indicate the state of the main signal will keep showing the state of that main signal. this includes (when used) the repeaters.
Thanks for this, obviously signals are different in Germany. We had a disaster train crash in UK (Clapham) caused by bad wiring in the relay room, the signal remained GREEN after the passage of a train, causing the following train to crash into a stationary train, then another train on the adjacent line crashed into the wreckage.
I know of that accident. I don't think the German signals can do that, because with faulty wires the signal will go to it's default position, wich is showing a red light. And besides that, even when the light is showing green as a wrong indication, then the trip magnet of the PZB will be active giving the train an emergency brake.

Signal failure?.? 20:18 I'd expect the signal to show RED after the passage of the local train, as in 20:55. Are these signals 'repeaters'?

Frage mich gerade wieso der fdl ihn nicht über essen/Altenessen laufen gelassen hat , wäre kürzer und schneller gewesen
Frag mal nie nach bei der Betriebszentrale. Die haben dieser Plan gemacht und wahrscheinlich war zurück gleich wie hin nicht möglich.
@TrainCabrides ja kenne ich, habe selber bei der Bahn 3 Jahre gearbeitet im sicherheitsbereich
Aber auf diese Weise gab es auch noch eine Fahrt über eine Strecke die ich wahrscheinlich nicht schnell nochmals filmen konnte 😉
