i actually enjoyed this video very much. i wanna start by saying i love seeing you back, it put a huge smile on my face, and i never clicked anything as fast! but id like to point out that even though fishing wise the trip was a failure, i love the message/lesson we can all get out of it. not everything works out the way we plan them to, and thats okay. the symbolism that after such a terrible injury, first day back, and there is literally no catches, is almost beautiful. you said youll remember that trip for the rest of your life, and i think ill remember this video aswell! i commend you for still posting it, even though nothing was caught. throw in the uncomfortable conditions, and it just seemed like a horrible day! but horrible days lead to amazing ones. glad you are back man
I had back surgery 5 months later I was working on a refinery walking on beams and pipes over 500ft. Height lm not going to lie I still had pain on my back but bills keep coming you don't have choice you got to keep working.

Have you ever tried doing the “bow string” move to get your snags out? I lose significantly less lures and rigs doing so. Basically don’t set the hook on the rock so don’t just pull on it and hope it comes out. If you pull the slack and flip your bail open real quick sometimes it pops it off a rock or whatever you’re snagged on. I’ve been watching your channel since you had like 3k subs keep up the good work man! You e grown a lot and your confidence in camera has grown exponentially!
I get snagged a lot fishing off the rocks, in that situation I pull the bale arm back, move the rod left then right to slacken line in two directions and wait 2 or 3 minutes for the waves to move whatever is snagging. Works about a third of the time. Now I fish with the weight at the end of the line and the hook/bait about 3ft higher, otherwise the crabs just eat the bait.
Glad you’re back man! I’ve had some pretty devastating injuries myself (completely avulsed my proximal hamstring a few years back) so i know how hard it can be to recover and not do anything for months! Drives you crazy 🤪 great vid 👍🏼
