I find the stocked trout/salmon are cruising either 2 ft below ice or 2ft above bottom unless pond sub 6feet depth then dont matter, go mid depth

​@BendItFishing I didn't go unfortunately, but they caught a few perch I think I don't think they had luck with thr trout maybe next time. And they used worms.. always fun to get outside!!

Carbon fiber are No good in cold weather they can brake from the cold I use fiber glass they can take the cold ????

It depends on the density of the carbon and rod design. That's why some carbon rods are "slower" than others
