I love your videos. You are always entertaining and informative. Love your sense of humor. And I love learning about Moldova. You are the best guide. Thank you!
My family moved to the US when I was 7 (now I'm 20) and I haven't been back to visit Moldova in a really long time, but I miss it so much. We lived in a village too so this reminds me a lot of what it was like. Thank you for the video. I do feel a bit sad for the dogs. Most people in villages keep them as guard dogs and they are always on a chain.
The building, the rural street, your granmother's dress, the dog and the others details of the Moldova countryside landscape, remind me my birthplace, the south of Italy. What a genuine is this videos and what a beautiful is the semplicity of our places, Moldova and south Italy. Many things in common we have in our cultures and life approach. Maybe for this reason I'm starting to love Moldova and its people.
Hi Djulie! I really enjoy your videos! Missing the old countryside: the sound of the animals, the smells, the hot days and warm nights full of stars. Just simple, peaceful and relaxing for the soul. Never been to Moldova but would gladly spend a few days with your bunica. Sănătate sa trăiesc!
I’ve always known about Romania and Moldova, but never thought about much about them. I became fascinated with y’all since learning y’all are a Latin speaking people in Eastern Europe. Y’all never stopped speaking Latin while everyone around y’all began speaking a Slavic language. I love all your videos and follow you on instagram. Please continue to post videos about Moldova! I wish you all the success in the world!
Hi Djulieta! I love your videos; the way you talk about your country shows how much you love it, and now that I've come visit this country can tell why. Right now I'm at Chisinau, and I'm very surprised! this city is amazing, the food is really good (followed your suggestion from previous video and try Sarmale, it was delicious!), the people is very kind...Leaving soon this country, but totally in love with it. Greetings from a Colombian boy in Moldova
Foarte frumos...acasa si gradina si mancare!! Made my mouth water seeing you eat that pickle from the jar, so good when they are just right and crunchy. Very nice that you keep your roots close and your family and your origins closer, huge respect for that.
My grandmother house looks exactly the same. The 'kompot, ' the 🐥 in the backyard, the outside wc, even the dress of my grandmother was exactly like your grandma . Greetings from Bulgaria
this is so lovely. There is so much in comon when i grew up long time ago in the south of Brasil. Congratulation for the beautiful family and enjoy while it lasts :)
@@livinginmoldovawithdjuliet8984 thx, I'd love to find a sweet Moldova lady to Marry And bring to America I live on a big yacht So she would have to love the water and sunshine And being treated like a Queen 👸 🌞 🏝🚢🏝 🐬

Hahaha - Love your videos. This one in particular is not only informative but hilarious as well. It looks like your family's farm is just east of Chisinau near the Romanian border. Beautiful part of the world.
A lot of western countries are really trying to make a move back to "homesteading" like this. Self-sufficiency is so important. Many people move away to the cities and within a generation or two they lose the skills needed for basic survival. It's refreshing to see this traditional Moldovan village home and how your granny is able to self-sustain. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Djulieta i love your Moldovan household. Your very polite and smart your English is USA dialect, i love your Attitude very intelligent. your Moldova is close like my Montenegro that i come from, now in Florida USA
....I watched this with the sound off, just looking at the countryside and scenery.....reminded me of 1930's USA...rural...simple...uncomplicated by tech....Look at the opening scenes of "The Wizard of Oz" ....it's the same...
Hi it's Rahman from Germany,I am really fascinated by the real view of Moldovan village, German villages are also attractive but it has little modernization, but I really appreciate the ancient way to live in a peaceful place with peace Thanks a lot for your outstanding work
Thanks for your time, actually I had a plan to visit Moldova this summer, but due to Corona pandamic everything become very hostile, but if I get a chance I will definitely visit your country, and maybe you could help me a lot to know about your culture, society and so on
Hope to visit one day. My lady was born in Dubasari , I think, being raised not far from Chisinau, and was proud of Moldova despite the politics and financial status. Krasivaya she is🥰😢 Thank you for sharing your memories!! From California 👍
Very nice place and not so different from my house. The loo was down the path to the chicken coop and had honey suckle growing on it. I still grow honey suckle but we burned down the loo after putting up addition with inside plumbing. I’m retired now and living simple life on a few acres of land with orchard garden and cold springs, it’s nice and quiet, but now that I’m not allowed to go to town much because of covid I’m starting to miss being around people.
My brothers wife, Natalia, is from Moldova. She lived in a small village as well. They live in Huntsville Alabama now. I subscribed to learn more about your country because I'm planning a trip there soon. God Bless. That was funny apologizing to the ducks for their ultimate demise.
Looks a lovely place, much like Scotland :-) It's a shame that a great video is a bit ruined by low sound levels, but a great video, all very interesting, hope to meet you soon, Gordon X PM
Pickled cucumbers in your Grandma's cellar! I make them every year! I wonder what is your recipe. Please - let me know. We have many ones: For semi-pickled ones it is the same as below but we use large, wide, open jars or pots and we let the cucumbers pickle for just few days in room temperature. For real pickles, winter-lasting cucumbers, we use hot but not boiling water poured over cucumberd in jars, with a lots of (sort of overgrown) dill, garlic, some vine or oak leaves, and a bit of horseraddish root. Delicious! Everyone in PL has a bit different recipe. I am sure you make it perfect in Moldova. There are only few countries in Europe where people still make home pickles. I live in an apartment building where every flat has a small cellar in the basement and most people keep their home-made pickles there. I am sure that you go to pick up wild mushrooms in Moldova. I love to do it in Poland. In the west you can taste wild mushrooms only at expensive restaurants, I believe, but here it is a common thing and we are well-stacked with dried, pickled or frozen mushrooms. BTW: Leżanka in Polish means "a place to lay down", leżeć = lay down. Kalosz in Polish is the same - a rubber boot to walk in rain/mud/water 😀. Bună dimineaţa and mulţumesc Djiulieta!
A root cellar most farms had them . around the world for CA In pickeling and fermentation ,Nite 3 holer outhouse isn't unknown either if you live outside a town sewer system.
This is like Dominican Republic's typical rural class, only with colder weather. Chickens, boiled corn on the cob, but no pickling nor underground wine cellars.
Good information about Moldova. It's very classic area. Feel so peaceful 😌
You had me at the "Very old BECI" :))). Nu am mai auzit de Lejanca pana acum, interesanta incapere.

Indeed. The poor baby. They should really learn how to respect animals. But then again most of these folks live like back dark ages.
Yeah the dog looked neglected as fuck and she’s like “why you look so sad?” Haha while it’s covered in dirt and chained up lol.
