Very well done on getting the 780 doing what it was designed to do once again. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the series of videos you’ve done on her, having spent many hours as a kid in the 1960’s riding on the toolbox behind my dad on a Massey Harris 780 special on a Lincolnshire farm North of you it was particularly interesting and brought back many memories for me. Thank you.👏👏👏
Hi Steve nice to see the 780 at work great video. Looking forward to some more harvesting action 👌 will we see some Baler action 🤔 Thanks for sharing this fantastic 👌👌👍
We had one the same and the sample was so clean we used to sow our own we had a 780 special and a 780 bagger then we had a 788 rej no was paw 788 then on others was E129ENT
Great video again 👍 always hated having to go into the straw walkers as these teeth always seemed to catch your knees 🙄🤬 another skill getting lost to the march of time repairing hydraulic hose 🤔 wish id got a pound for every hose i repaired 😁 to be fair took bad having to order a complete hose when there was a burst bloody health and safety 😄 788 straw hood had the look of the 4 and 500 series hoods when they came out 🤔 that was a pretty decent sample of grain of the old girl and a good like yield, hope the weather holds for you 👍
Great to the 780 back in the field she's going great ! After all the hard work you have done it's paid off well done you have saved another 780 ! Great video again !
Excellent video! Great result after all your effort in getting the 780 fit to harvest again, you must be very pleased with the result! Great crop sample too for a 60 odd year old combine! It has been a real joy to follow this series of videos, many thanks! Look forward to the next project!
Great video as usual. Its been quite some time since i have seen anyone using those screw on fittings , its all the squez on ones now so you have to go to the repair shop for that , all costs money
@kenshort8901 i call it a dip switch because it the same in a car, but it's not electrical it's on a spool valve if you press it it diverts oil to the reel rams so as to lift the reel up or down, and the handle to the right hand side of the driver is to wind the reel in and out 👍
@matthewhicks5589 Farm and Rural Past he does the drum belt shaker rubbers all skirts and more for all old massey Harris, Ferguson Combines + binder canvases

Question please: What does the dip-switch do?

@@FenlandCrusader Thanks - that makes sense.
👍
Great video as usual, where did you get your skirts made up?
@matthewhicks5589 Farm and Rural Past he does the drum belt shaker rubbers all skirts and more for all old massey Harris, Ferguson Combines + binder canvases
@@FenlandCrusader yes that’s where I got my canvas bits made, my neck of the woods. Could have popped in and looked at my gleaner project
@@matthewhicks5589 would've done if I'd known 😉
@@FenlandCrusader no problem, Grahams literally couple of miles from me, always nice speaking to fellow enthusiasts
