Certainly changed since I was last there a number of years prior to Covid ! It was very much the poor relation to its sister hotel back then ! Everything looks to have changed for the better. Many more modern amenities 😊 breakfast certainly seems good 😊 Can't really remember what breakfast was like back in the day, pretty basic ! One thing I do remember was if you wanted a coffee, there was a old kettle by the lift ! Thanks for the video succinct and to the point ! I will subscribe and see what other content you do 😊
Flipper House has a lift on the ground floor , Flipper Lodge has a lift up a rather annoying stair case, and if you are in the old wing, you have to go up another load of stairs stairs which if you have traveled straight from the airport means carting your luggage up a couple of staircases! ! Check out the Sailor bar opposite Flipper Lodge really good cheap food and if you don't want to pay for the buffet breakfast is only 80 baht ! Happy travels whatever you decide 😊
Upon viewing this vlog I've concluded that The Flipper Lodge Hotel on Soi 8 is the better accomodation and marginally cheaper. Well it was when I stayed there in February 2007 on my very first visit to Pattaya/Thailand. They're both great value considering the price includes a banquet for breakfast.
Another great review and the place looks spotlessly clean and well maintained..i enjoy your reviews no waffle and to the point. I know you did the Areca lodge which i love but i also stayed at the Debua Hotel and The travelodge soi 15 which were both bang on in my opinion..Thanks for the effort you put in to these..
A really great review.............informative, honest and interesting....the pool is the catch for me, but, the only downside personally, and a deal breaker, is the lack of a balcony that you can sit out on and maybe enjoy some kinda vista/goings on...............!!.
Thanks Paul, I watch your reviews on hotels and they provide excellent information. As with your P Plus hotel review, please do show the view angle of where the air con is directed at. In this case, it is perfect as the vent points the long axis of the room and not on the bed. Request: is there an equally good or better hotel than P Plus in terms of value, 900 B range? Thanks again.
Thank you for watching the video and thank you for your comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I will take on board your request for the air-conditioning. A hotel that comes to mind would be the April suites. I think I paid 915B. it was quieter, although I little bit out of the centre.
It look pretty bog standard to me. That view from that window was terrible however the breakfast looked okay. I know you have done march hotel however you stayed at the may wing (not march hotel) Love the video though. Am going over in two month probably looking at march hotel. The rooms at aqua looked new but small and cramped and also noisey from tree town which would you pick
I actually booked the March hotel and I think I got some sort of upgrade to the May. I will definitely try and stay there again. From the two hotels you mentioned I would stay at the March, although it's a little bit out of the centre.
Hi Paul, the Flipper House Hotel, Pattaya looks so very Nice 🎉 The swimming pool looks lovely and the lovely breakfast with allsorts to eat. From Hot Dogs, my favourite and the scrambled eggs and chocolate brownie cakes. 🎉 All for £27 with breakfast, very nice, Paul
When they stamp your passport at the airport, that is your Visa and this is what she was checking, to see if it was still in date. However I live in Thailand and have a 12 month visa.
@@snitchy87 No, I have stayed at Flipper house many times. I stayed in the only part many years ago, then they added the new part right alongside, it has its own pool as well. I try and book a room with a balcony overlooking Soi7, very handy for songkran! 👌👌
Thanks Paul ..on my list ...

Thanks for your support and comments, the kettle by the lift doesn't sound great, I'm glad things have moved on, as you said breakfast was good 😊
Im debating between the cheaper Flipper House Hotel or Flipper Lodge as a family. Closer to the Night Market, or to Beach Road.
I've not stayed in the flipper lodge yet, but I'm hoping to soon 😁

It is a great hotel, you have stayed in the older part. The new part is even better, I have stayed many times and would recommend it to everyone.
Thank you, didn't know there was a new part 😎

Thank you so much 😁 The Debua is on my list of hotels to try, although the prices do seem to be rising.
@paulsgetaways August 2023 i was paying 1200 a night room only ..the Pool area is Fantastic and the bed for me was a 10/10...have a good weekend mate.
Glad you liked it 😁

Decent review as always
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
Great review. Good value and location.
You're spot-on, Thanks very much 😁
Looks like good value👍
Thank you so much 😁
Hello Paul, would you be able to review The Stay Hotel on Soi 10?
I will add it on to my list of hotels to consider, a lot depends on the price when I'm booking hotels.

Stayed there over 20 years ago,the pool is nice but the shower curtain is a turn off
It's changed Bro.
Didn't realise the hotel had been there that long 🤣
Can you have a look at Honey Lodge please
Is that the Honey Lodge in SoI Honey? I'll add it to my list of hotels to try.
@paulsgetaways it's very close to the beginning of walking St, sorry I don't know the name of the soi
I'll have a look 😃
Do they charge a joiner fee?
No 😃 not as far as I know

Was a antifreeze welcome drink 🥴😂
No antifreeze 🤣it was actually quite nice.😁
Paul. Why do you need a Visa.
I go to Patt 4 time each your I am from Ireland and no Visa. Thanks
When they stamp your passport at the airport, that is your Visa and this is what she was checking, to see if it was still in date. However I live in Thailand and have a 12 month visa.
Good but no view. Why would I stay there ? I do not eat breakfast. Was it quest friendly
It is guest friendly and if you stay in the new part and request a room at the front you will be fine.
@TheScarletinfidel1 what new part. You sure you're not thinking of flipper lodge on soi 8. That has 2 areas, old and new.
I thought you would like this one, didn't realise you don't eat breakfast 🤣

Didn't know there was a second part I'll have to look at that next time 🙏
WHATS THE PRICE PER NIGHT
Three fiddy
It was 1204 Baht including breakfast.
It cannot compare to the lodge in my opinion
Not impressed when stayed there earlier this year
I've not stayed at the lodge yet, hoping to soon 😁
