Yeah, and the computer generated animations are REALLY bad haha. I also don't get when I see videos where they confuse leopards and cheetahs, they look nothing alike. Leopards and Jaguars however, look incredibly similar to an untrained eye.

Normally, that's called stat-padding, but when you've got imbeciles who have no respect for anything.....You might as well teach them what respect is one ton of flesh to their spine at a time. Tourons may have the ignorance and arrogance to go and do dumb things thinking they know better, so I let them prove their mistake.

Well, it's part of the reason behind the stereotype. Stereotype of the USA: "Everyone has guns!!!" Reason, "Because Mother Nature is a B**ch and she sees that a lot of the US is still wilderness and will gladly use any means and opportunity to shrink the human gene pool." If we could shoot the weather, we would; but be it extreme weather or just nature making itself at home in our home, we put up with it; and really only the latter can be solved with firearms.

Ash - pissed about leopards shown as cougars, being pissed about Wildebeest being shown as bison, shaking her head at the sight of the bison and knowing what damage it could do based off her Cape Buffalo knowledge... she is so damn fantastically lovely. *** edit - An aside... my fav sentence is Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo... meaning Buffalo (the citry) buffalo (the animal) buffalo (the act of agression) buffalo (other non Buffalo buffalo).

The Zambezi or Zambi shark is indeed a Bullshark. Bullsharks are a global. They've been found in rivers in Australia, Africa, South America, and the America's. They've even documented them in the great lakes. They are the sharks people really should be worried about. Particularly ill tempered and has the ability to traverse both fresh and salt...I've also been to the the area's of the New Jersey Shark attacks. The victims would have never seen it coming.

Brown Recluse bites are terrifying because they can come back sometimes years after you recover from them. There are photos of the flesh eaten away down to the bone, it really depends on where you are bitten. But yes! They are generally not fatal!

Both bison and buffalo are very large animals. Both species of bison tend to be larger than buffalo on average, reaching heights of 6 feet and weighing up to 2,000 pounds. African buffalo average up to 5 feet tall and up to around 1,800 pounds, and domesticated water buffalo have similar ranges.

The video actually shows elk in both the deer and moose scenes.
When Ash got put outta shape because of the wildebeest scene, I about died laughing.
I find it interesting that the way she pronounces wildebeest is with the V sound as in violin, the way the German language uses it.
In America our pronounciation of the letter w is like saying Wyoming or Word or Willow.

In the US where wolves have been reintroduced it has actually redirected rivers. The wolves hunt deer. The deer eat leaves that hang low on trees, causing some trees to die along river shore lines. When the wolves kill the deer, the trees along the shorelines live longer and grow larger, this can actually redirect rivers and change entire habitats.

That hiker that ran into the mountain lion hiking, the cat was merely protecting her young. If it was hunting/stalking him he would not have known it until it attacked. Mountain lions are ambush predators. They like to stalk you from higher ground, then scream as they jump down upon the prey.

I guess you mean for the average American. As an outdoorsman, I've encountered every animal on this list. The spiders are encountered daily based on where I live, but if you're not in the outdoors you're not truly living!!!! Just my opinion.

      @firefighterchick 4 місяці тому

@Cubs-Fan.10 No I quite enjoy the outdoors but in my neck woods encounters with cougars, bears, wolves, moose, etc aren't as likely.
The spiders yes I've encountered far more often and I'm a pro at avoiding colliding with crossing deer(along with seeing them in the outdoors).
The average American especially those who enjoy cities and urban sprawl except for spiders and scorpions probably wouldn't encounter most of these animals.

One thing that makes deer so dangerous when you encounter them on a road is the fact that when startled they will go back the way they came from if they can. So you can come up on a deer and think that you are safe because they are almost across the road only to have them turn around and run across in front of you. I don’t mind you talking as you film because you keep it light hearted and interesting. It lets me know why you think a video is worth watching. Keep up the good work.

Spiders: the problem is that, unlike bears, wolves, cougars, moose, etc. black widows or brown recluses can be found in any out-of-the-way corner of your house and yard and not just out in the wilderness. The active principle of black widow venom is the same as nerve gas agents.
Rattlesnakes: for the most part they're pretty chill--"you don't bother me, I won't bother you"--so most bites come from people who either carelessly walk on one sunning itself or curled up in the shade, or who deliberately confront one to show their buddies that they have no fear.

The American Bison is actually pretty calm. But they don’t like to be approached, and people in the national parks, often act like they’re in a petting zoo, walking right up to them, for photos etc… Most “gorings” are the result of human ignorance or stupidity, even though there are signs, and pamphlets everywhere, warning against certain behavior. The do become ornerier in late summer, during rutting/mating season. They are quite impressive, and the calves in spring, are adorable!

Buffalo and Bison are both Bovine but thats about as close they are in relation. But they do both weight about the same in weight. But the weights also distributed differently. Bison have evolved to be a bit thicker in the forfront (aka their massive skulls). African Buffalo have stayed more cow like. But they're both very fast and powerful. Id just say the Bisons got a more powerful ram. Where as "Black Death" is alot more agile with its strength. Probably because the Bison doesnt really have to worry about predators (Atleast until we almost hunted them to extinction).

Frightened by New Years Eve fireworks (that and shooting guns are common New Years foolishness in rural Texas) a cougar bounded across our property. On 13 acres Dad saw it touch the ground twice. I love this...Between living in central, and coastal Texas, and living off grid in Dyea, Alaska, Ive had the chance to experience encounters with everything on the list except Pumas. Ive been in Puma territory, but its pretty rare to see one, they see you.
My craziest encounter with creatures wasnt on the list, but its the closest Ive come to dying. Fishing in a crappy 15' aluminum boat, miles from shore, we had two humpback whales surface almost within reach for us. My friend was a local native and he was playing his wooden flute. The whales just bobbed there in the water for a good 5-6 minutes with their heads straight out of the water looking at us with eyes the size of huge dinner plates. When they sunk back into the water, they came within inches of the tiny boat and swam under us just barely grazing the boat as they disappeared. When you hit that water, youve got 4-5 minutes before your frozen.

Every summer the property around my house gets infested with black widows. They are actually pretty respectful and mainly just stay outside. Every once in a while I'll catch one in my house and then I have to teach it a lesson with a boot. But its very rare. And there was one time when I was outside for a smoke enjoying the summer night when one decided to launch some kind of crazy Kamikaze attack mission at me. Anybody who has ever had an encounter with one knows how thick and sticky their damn webs are.

Wild animals here are terrifying. To me, a bull(male) moose is terrifying and territorial. Also, a cow(female) moose with a calf(kid) is terrifying because she’s not open to ANYONE coming near the child. Their mother instinct is at high alert. Yet, I live in the Front Range in Colorados Rocky Mountains and I’ve saw my fair share of moose. I’m not even getting started on momma bears and their cubs(kids). There’s also snakes and spiders.

It’s a weird video. Not only do they show wildebeest when talking about Bison but they show elk when talking about Moose. I have never seen a moose and they scare me but the mountain lion scares me the most as they’re quiet. I live in Colorado and they take dogs. One time a man was upset that a mountain lion took his dog and I figured it was a small dog but then he showed a picture of it and it was a Rottweiler! I mean those dogs are big - close to a 100 lbs., but if the mountain lions are taking elk which are huge then I guess a Rottweiler is easy prey. Moose are scary too, antisocial. When I visit my home state of Pennsylvania deer scare me the most as they’re prolific and I’m always worried about hitting one with my car. I’ve heard about hippos…..scary!

Yes, I found another so observant. The only other person that I've seen react to this is from South Africa. And he actually called out. Why don't they have Wildbeest

I live in the inland Pacific Northwest in the mountains, streams and lakes of North Idaho. We have bobcat, mountain lion, wolf, black bear, brown bear, moose, elk, deer, mountain goat and dall sheep or big horn sheep. Plus of course poisonous spiders in black widows, hobo spiders and brown recluse spiders. Of all the things mentioned, deer cause the most injury and death as they are hit by cars all the time. Everything else smartly stays away from humans usually and unless you FA'd then FO'd you are generally safe in the wilderness up here. But, always carry a loaded firearm just in case. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Thanks for sharing, my wife and her family were missionaries in Rhodesia when she was growing up and she spent most of her young life in either Angola, Rhodesia, Malawi or South Afrika and when I met her in her early 20's she still had a clipped South Afrikan accent. Please keep sharing your videos. Chris

Had a run in with a deer just 3 days ago. At night, dark country road. Swerved in time not to hit it head on, and it impacted the passenger door and front fender. It was still a hard enough blow that it knocked off my wife's shoe and crushed the door significantly.

I absolutely love spiders, though I’ve encountered a few brown recluse and one black widow. You need to get rid of them. They’ll mess you up. The most common spider I get in my house is the Wolf spider. Completely harmless, absolutely gorgeous, and Keira other household pests at bay. I get a huge mother in my bathtub once in a while. I simply relocate it so I can bathe. And not outside, that would be its demise.

Dave, Have you and Ash seen "The Good Place"? Probably the best TV series for doing reactions to ever made because it really makes you second guess what you believe in, while making you laugh, cry, and be completely flummoxed! Kristen Bell, Ted Danson are genius together. At least watch Season:01 Episode:01 and see if you can resist finding out what happens next!
