This is by far the nicest feeling racket I’ve ever hit. It’s just feels and sounds high end. Idk how to describe it, it’s just so solid while also feeling light and whippy. It feels like a surgical piece of technology attached to your arm. I’ve demo’d almost 10 other rackets this year, other yonexs too. There’s nothing like the vcore 95.
Very good point about the grip size. I too generally play a grip 3, and this feels a bit too chunky, probably closer to a grip 4. On the pair I bought, I changed the synthetic grip to a thinner Babolat one, which brought it closer to what I am used to, though not all way. Regarding stability against fast balls, I would really recomment adding a moderate amount of lead in the hoop, as the SW in stock form is too low for a 95 (mine came matched at 286 from TWE, so around 316 strung, like your demo). I added 1.5g at 10 and 2 each and 2g in the buttcap, and it plays really stable in this configuration.
Thanks Johnny, very useful for anyone looking I am sure. I’ll make a video about Yonex grip sizes - always go a grip size down but flair out the bottom under the grip to mirror other brand grips . Thanks for the comment
For my part, I love this one-handed or two-handed racquet, but I can't manage to perform my natural slice serve unlike the 305 iso. Perhaps the shape of the sieve. Thank you.
Hi, I always go back to the auxetic speed MP, shift 300 (both customised though). I have kept them and the prince textreme tour 310. Those 3 plus this 95 I could play tournaments with - but I think this 95 will win the day
@@tenniseuphoria5012 have you tried new gravity mp? I'm also stuck on 2019 prince TT 100p...it more open mains gives me more spin then my new ezone 98...I have 1 hand bh and the ezone n TT work best...I want thin frame 100 that works with 1 hander. Would new gravity mp or under spec G pro work best for me? The vcore 95 have 98+ size upper half of Head but 93 inch lower half .. sometimes I hit my 1 hander in the middle around 4 -8 o'clock of the head and ball dies
I like your reviews and i come back to the since im upsest with rackets i own 15 different. As for 95 i wanted to ask if you have any update about counter punching with v core 95, if it does work with out being always in a perfect position and how compers to 100
I felt exactly the same with the racket, it genuinely upped my level and I was dominating in local competitive matches. Thought it was the perfect racket until I started hitting with a new hitting partner who could really punish anything that I hit off-centre. Felt like I couldn't get any depth in reply to his weight of shot, which is user error of course, but it is not forgiving on high end defense. I still have the racket, but I'm looking at the Speed Pro as a different way to approach a racket that does a bit of everything. When I'm able to out muscle an opponent the Vcore 95 feels like you can't miss, but I rely on counter-punching too much to make the most of it I think.
Long time speed pro user here that bought a vcore 95. Wow what a great racket but for casual hitting it almost became too cumbersome and needed you to be focused at all times. Especially playing against other 5.0s it suffered a bit on returns so I went back to the new speed pros and never looked back. I think they’re just overall better even though you may get a little more of a scalpel feel out of the vcore
Great Review Andy, I have a single handed backhand. 100sq just does not work, but 97 or 98 has been my choice for years. How will this 95 work? I am a spin player. Using the VCore Pro 97 (310g) now. Which has good feel, power, spin and touch? TF40 305 16x19, Ezone 98, which Vcore?
Hi Sundar, I think it would be great on a one handed back hand. I had a one hander as a junior - I did hit some balls with the 95 as a one hander (didn’t record), it was great. 👍
Hello i played whit the 2018 all red version, love it on every shot but having the slice bh as a key part of my game i ended up leaving it cause on the slice it didn t perform as well as other frames, it lacked power and stability on that shot, my hand would feel week.., would you agreed for pervious versions and is it any different whit this new one?, i tried the Yonex exone 98 and it was so much better, even whit my old Wilson six one tour 90 it was much better.. thanks.
I think you would find that both this and the last have more stability and power in stock form compared to the 2018 but this one stands out for sure above the previous too. I will likely add some weight but I don’t think most would need to, you should demo it for sure .
Thank you, really good, it feels Like a 98. I can imagine is suits a one hander too but I love it on my two hand back hand. Odd as I can’t get on with the vcore 98 on my backhand
Andy, another great analysis! You might be on to something about Yonex head shape and striking point. I have been trying out the Yonex 100… just doesn’t feel right, a bit head heavy, not sure.. I have been also trying out the Shift 300… much different, lighter, etc. I will send the Yonex back..Everyone loves the Yonex 95, but I don’t think it is meant for all court seniors who play singles at the 4.0 level. Do you still enjoy the Shift 300? Ciao, John
Hi John, yes I still like the shift 300 a lot. With a leather grip, some lead at 10 and 2 and I find I need to string a few lbs higher but with that all, great! Did not get on aswell with the shift 315 as per my review on that though, . Thanks for the comment

thanks so much for all of these great reviews. hope you know a ton of us really appreciate all the word you put in for us.
The head shape has surprisingly changed a lot
so tempted to buy this. thx for the review!

Hi Andy - are you still playing this frame as your main one or did you go back to some other?
What balls do you use in the SlingerBag?
Hey Andy - how would you compare this 2023 Vcore 95 model to the Prince ATS Textreme Tour 95 you previously reviewed? Thanks for all you do!
What was your final customized setup for the frame? Thanks!

i think when you face a heavy hitter the issue becomes timing and early preparation, margin for error is smaller.

Hey Andi. I have to agree! I also switched to the 95. But perhaps you should also try the Völkl C10 Evo. This could also fit your game.
Thanks for the heads up

@@tenniseuphoria5012 ah that's interesting. What's the main difference between the 95 and the 98 on the 2hbh?
What tension did you use on each string test?
anyone know how it would compare to the pure strike vs (also 16/20 and similar smallish headsize)?
What tension did you use on each string test?
Hi, 52 lbs for the poly tour pro. I was supplied the racket with solinco hyper g, I believe that was similar. Hope that helps
Hmm, surprising. I agree on the previous gens being low powered. Looks like another demo
