Great review, thank you for your time. I bought a 2023 CB500F 2 weeks ago and I'm getting 72mpg for normal driving and I'm 5'11, 228lbs (104kg). If I drive 80mph. I average 50mpg. I have a 1991 CBR600F2 with 100hp, but the power is unnecessary. I began motorcycling on a new 2000 Yamaha V-Star 650 (40hp) cruiser. The CB500F is my preferred riding position. I'm very satisfied with the bike. 0-60mph in 5 seconds is fast enough for me. I'm 50. I bought the bike for a weekly 3 hour drive, so I wanted high mpg, reliability, and low out-the-door pricing. Tip - rely on out-the-door price if you buy new; email several dealerships.

Good informative review. I’m an old guy whose downsizing after a few years of “heavy riding”. I’m a more careful rider now, but I like to know I can get 70-80 mph on motorways with maybe a touch more if needed, without thrashing it. Sounds like this might fit the bill. Thanks.

Considering getting one of these as a food delivery/personal utility bike instead of riding my ZX10 everywhere lol. These seem like well thought out bikes, air filter is easy to change without pulling the tank, just under the seat. Wish they put cruise control on them but otherwise I think these are a home run.

Good review and great looking bike. I'm thinking of getting this too, sat on one the other day and it felt a lot lighter than its documented 190kg. And I really liked it. Would have liked to have e heard it with that pipe on tho.

Nice review mate, I've just put a deposit on a 2022 cbr500r but i reckon the best all round option is the 500x, how would you compare handling between the cb500 and the 500x? I'm a experienced rider but just want something cheap too run and fun. Cheers

Totally understand your input on the CB650R an in-line 4 sounds best at 10,000 RPM Lol.

Great Bike by the sounds of it.. I have only just passed my CBT and got a Honda cb125f 21 which is a fantastic little bike. I really just want to go for an A2 licence and get this same type of bike you have .

How is the seat and riding position? Comfortable upright by the looks of it but the seat looks a little thin on the padding.

Dont laugh. I have just bought this bike and have my A licence at the end of the month. I am doing my A licence training (1 day for each MOD) and MOD tests on a 650 Kawasaki. Would I be able to jump on this bike and ride it home from the shop (its stored there for me) the day after i pass MOD2. So, first ever actual ride would be out of the shop and home.

@@ridingwithaj1086 appreciate the response mate. Ive ridden smaller bikes in the past. Im confident enough just wanted reassurance - after all i dont want to wreck it. I will spend a few minutes getting the clutch bite.

mate ..when You are doing DSA on 650cc..they have over 70bhp.....CB500F have only 47 bhp. You definitly will be able to ride it if you pass Your exams on a almost 2 powerfull bike.
Im going to buy CB500F as well as this is enought for national speeds limits :)
