I am so sick of the complaining in the terrible comments by people who are nothing but trolls this is probably the best version of this song next to Ricky Dillard's it was absolutely blessed and fantastic who cares if it's a little slower than the original they got the job done for the Lord right

Everybody's complaining about the slowness of this song. You have to realize it's too many of them to pick it up any faster. This is not a professional group. It's the church choir y'all. Not Rickey Dillard nem!!! lol... I think they did a fantastic job. I know, I am a musician and a choir director. It's impossible to pick up the pace with those many choir members... They did that!!!!! This is perfect for the amount of people in this huge choir.... Especially for those who don't know the song....If they would've picked it up, everybody would've been dead !!! lol!!!

Also a musician and choir director here... And, I did this song over a decade ago with a 100+ voice choir at the correct tempo with a full band... Nobody passed out (they did shout, though). Lol!
But, then again, we're COGIC! It can be done...😉
I agree it most definitely can be done, but you also have to look at the age range of that group of people in that choir. You know in the baptist church, everybody don't come to choir rehearsal, I know this to be a fact and some come in at the last minute who we have not seen in several months and taking a good look at most of them singing, some are not even singing and the COGIC y'all are on it and disciplined in that area of words and tempo. Not all of us are as disciplined I know I have played for the baptist church since the age of 13 years old and we will not come to rehearsal. This is an excellent baptist choir.. and I have seen COGIC in action.... y'all get's down and shout all at once!!! lol ... Anthony has pulled it all together with this dynamic baptist choir!!!
+Donna Gardner - I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT! And, me too - same age... I play for both Baptist and Methodist churches (jobs - they always need musicians, we always have plenty), and they often do NOT like to show up and put in the work, lol! When they don't know the music, I just don't let them sing or change the song... Ha! But, in light of that factoid, I totally agree, lol. COGIC = MUSIC. We don't play - but the other folks (denominations) can be pushed when they commit... It's a matter of how much effort they / the leader is willing to put in... discipline, training, commitment... #Blessings
I agree, but you know how that goes on the pushing factor, and also played for United Methodist they are much better and chile after a while you get tired of fighting them folks.... lol and putting them out of the choir stand also and I'm almost 60 years old can't do it, can't do it!! anymore lol. They know they wrong also. I did it when I was younger !!! Love, peace and see ya in heaven !!!

There's one individual alto whose voice I can hear out of everyone else, especially early in the song. They have an absolutely beautiful, clear voice. I'd love to hear them sing a solo on something!

Awesome job Anthony Brown, choir and dancers! This looked like it was an electrifying worship experience. I personally know how challenging it can be working with a church choir and not always having the best voices at your disposal, but the REAL anointing shows through when you're able to produce a product such as this. KUDOS TO YOU, ANTHONY BROWN - JOB WELL DONE!!!
I was today years old when I finally learned the name of that Joy song that choirs have been singing since the 80s.. learned what other words they were saying besides JOY! I swear I could never understand what folks were singing until they got to that repeated Joy part

Its actually the FIRST time in nearly 30 years that I have understood the lyrics. I like Ricky's way but the only lyric I knew then was JOY. I can appreciate this tempo. Not sure that the "mardis gras" band vamp worked for me tho...

Did y'all see how many older people they have in the choir?? They would have needed to bring the oxygen had they gone any faster! If you watch some of their mouths, they were barely keeping up at the slower pace they were going anyway let alone speed that thing up. Y'all tryna have the "ambalams" rushin to da chu'ch house! lol I think they did great!

The original version by Ricky Dillard and New G is faster. But for this choir and the number of seniors, it was the right tempo for them to sing it effectively.

Had to slow it down for the older saints. That's OK, though. It sounds good to God regardless of what it sounds like to us.

This choir did an amazing job. This song isn’t slow..... but look we are talking about Ricky. I don’t think there is a choir director out there that could match Ricky Dilliard at his worst. No disrespect to all the choir directors, but that man has been directing since he was a boy and I believe he is in his 50’s now.
Awesome job. Just not sure why they need aerobics in church (unless you're dancing in the Spirit, of course 😜) And not sure how that tenor can sing a song like this with gum in his mouth and not choke. Lol.
