    Almost all his points were pure jump shots, barely scored in the paint. Now that's hard to do!!

    • @YHWHISGOD1
      @YHWHISGOD1 11 років тому +157

      Only 10 of his 62 came from the free throw line. When KD and others have big games so many of those points come from the stripe. Melo is PURE. No flops, no special whistles, just basket after basket. This man is incredible

      john doe yet he is still under estimated. I cannot believe he is not compared with LeBron and kd. Lebron is over estimated. whenever hes going for a game winner he drives in the paint. he just lays it up. that's too easy to do. plus its easier for him due to the fact that he is strong as hell and can pummel the inside. Carmelo though, he is pure. he doesn't go inside for a game winner. if hes open and can just walk inside then he will. but that's hardly the case.he can shoot in,out mid, close. ANYWHERE. im just so pissed out he isn't compared to the greats.

      Yeah I saw your video and I try to make my form like Carmelo. His feet,hips and shoulders are always lined up and ready to shoot. He is set to shoot in the moment he cathes the ball and he starts his great pivot work. If you close out late on Melo, you are dead, also because his first step too....

    watching this live was maybe the proudest I’ve ever been as a Knicks fan (I’m 22 so i never saw them goto the finals in 94 or 99) crazy how he even hit a half court buzzer beater to add to this historic night lol, Melo will without a doubt go down in history as a Knicks legend and my favorite NBA player of all time, so glad i was old enough to watch him in his prime tear defenses up with that rare offensive skill set he possesses, I still love to watch highlights of nights where he will come off the bench for portland or LA and drop 25 or 30 points it gives me goosebumps seeing that little glimpse of prime NY Melo

    For everyone talking about the 0 assists, how about you actually watch the game before you talk. The man was on fire all night, Shumpert even said that he didn't want to sub in for him, Stoudimire and Kenyon martin held him down so that he couldnt be sub out. They gave him the ball every possession and watched him go to work. If he passed it out they passed it right back. Besides who says a power forward HAS to get assists?? he had 62 points 23/35 FG 13 rebounds 0 turnovers cmon people stop hating

    Melo is a better "scorer" where as KD is a better shooter, Melo can score anywhere on the floor like posting you up, catch and shoot, faceup, drvie to the lane and etc, where as KD mainly shoots and drives to the rim. Also melo is a better rebounder.

      Corey A. Thomas I agree 50%, but melo is definitely a shooter as to a scorer, obviously he scores but KD has lead the league in scoring for multiple seasons. If you watch the game again, melo shoots 80-90 percent of his shots in the field, making him a specialist "shooter" where kd can do all the things you mentioned bringing him more to a scoring base.

    • @ctzcan76
      @ctzcan76 10 років тому

      That is just one one game, I watch a lot of Knicks games and i definitely can say melo isn't a specialist "shooter".

      NBA Ace I wasn't talking to you so why you have your nose where it don't belong. People downplay Bron and Melo 60 point game because they were playing the bobcats which, in their mind, is a bad team. But that year their defense was one of he best in the NBA

      as for your stupid ass message, it was irrelevant from the beginning, you answer to his question by making the situation less confusing, not acting like you have some sort of magical privacy on this public commenting section.
      if you are gonna make people "seem stupid" you should first try talking in a manner that makes people think you passed the 8th grade, use correct words and punctuation. Im not a grammar freak by any means, but man you sound like a stupid ass bitch haha.
      if i saw your ass in real life id lock you up in a fucking cage and starve you and feed you the bare minimum just because your stupid ass deserves to be treated like that haha.

      XxMaDsPaCexXV2 i dont think Durant is better than Melo. In what? defense? rebounding? scoring? he scores more, but Melo has a more complete offensive game, and is more efficient from 3 point.
      Durant is MVP so far IMO but i dont think he is a better player than Melo and I can really stand up for that without being the prisoner of the moment, and i love KD.

      Agreed. Scoring wise, Melo shits on Lebron in every aspect. Search their 1-on-1 battles. Lebron is better athletically and as a facilitator, but five years down the road will he still be able to score without his athleticism? Melo doesn't need to rely on his athleticism to put the ball in the hoop. 3 pointers, mid range, back to the basket etc Melo has perfected his jumpshot. No dick ride, just stating the obvious.
