  • The Suns’ Devin Booker scored a franchise-record and NBA season-high 70 points as the Celtics defeated the Suns 130-120. Booker’s 70 points is the most ever against the Celtics, breaking Elgin Baylor’s previous record of 64 points (11/8/1959). Booker also is the youngest player to ever score 60+ points in a game. Booker is the first player to score 70 points in a game since Kobe Bryant scored 81 points on January 22, 2006.

Is this not the most spectacular regular season of all time?
    -You got a 20 year-old score 70
-You got Klay score 60 in three quarters
-You got Love score 34 in a quarter
-You got the first 50 point triple since over 40 years ago... and you got three of them
-You got Curry go like 0-10 from 3, then break the record for most 3s made
-You got a 5'9" guy average 29 points, score 52 in a game and 24 in the 4th
-You got a guy averaging a triple double AND leading the league in scoring
-You got the same guy about to break the record for most TDs ever in a season
-You got a guy in the same season breaking the record for most TDs in a season since the merge
If the play-offs are as spectacular, damn...

As a lifelong Suns fan, I hope and pray the front office keeps a good squad around Devin to keep him happy and keep him in Phoenix... Phoenix has always been known as one of the best basketball towns in the NBA.. but since Steve Nash left, we haven't had a winning record, or made the playoffs. Longtime Suns fans aren't used to this. I'm 44, and all throughout my childhood, and into my 30s the Suns were in the playoffs regularly. So 11 straight years of not making the playoffs is NOT something we Suns fans have EVER experienced. Keeping our current young core (mainly Booker and Ayton) is vital to our long-term success. Lastly, the Suns have always had prolific Point Guards throughout my lifetime (Kevin Johnson, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash to name a few)..so it's nice to have Chris Paul in there to help out our young guys and teach them how to be leaders and winners. I think this current Suns team has a chance to make some noise in the playoffs this year...and will be EVEN better next year...In Monty Williams we TRUST!!

When Devin Booker came into the league people said he’d be nothing more then a spot of shooter. Lol he quickly showed everyone that he can score from anywhere on the court and create his own shot.
Then people said he was overrated and puts up empty stats because his early years his team was losing a lot but the past 3 seasons he has put up those same stats but actually winning now and leading his team to the playoffs.
Then the narrative was switched over to he can’t defend which early in his career he wasn’t a good defender but now he is definitely an above average respectable defender and this past season we saw glimpses of him being an elite level defender.
Booker is an elite scorer… and he doesn’t without getting a lot of help from the referees. Lol he scored 47 points in the playoffs against Denver and he only shot 2 free throws…. That is unheard of and amazing. The current top- 5 scorers in the league all average over 10 free throw attempts a game and Booker averaged 28 points in the regular season taking less than 7 free throw attempts a game. In the playoffs Booker averaged nearly 34 points a game only taking 6 free throws a game.
Booker needs to get to the free throw line more… some of that has to do with his style of play and some of it has to do with the refs not blowing the whistle like they do for other players. What really impresses me is that he isn’t flopping a lot like the other elite scorers do. Also his much improved defense and much improved play making ability. Booker never had 2 elite scorer playing alongside him like he will this upcoming season. Shoot… he never even played with an elite scorer until KD came to the Suns these past few months… and we all witnessed what Booker was able to do with a teammate of KD’s caliber that opened up the floor for Booker. This next season Booker will be turning only 27 years old and he will be playing alongside of 2 elite scorers named Durant and Beal. It’s going to be scary for opposing teams to game plan against the Suns… one on one nobody can guard Booker and if you double him Beal and Durant will make them pay. Suns also have a good offensive big that is a very effective and efficient scorer… and I think Ayton will become very good defensively under Vogel.
Starting lineup of Booker, Beal, KD and Ayton… and you throw in Okogie who is a very good defender and will only be counted on to play defense and take the occasional open 3 pointer and this my friends will be the absolute best starting lineup in the league without a doubt. Now the critics will say they have no depth and a weak bench but you don’t have to have the most depth and an elite bench when you have a big 4 of Booker, KD, Beal and Ayton. Diop, Goodwin, Eubanks, Watanabe, Payne and Lee will suffice. All 6 are decent bench players and I’d expect with the Suns at least 2 of their big 4 will always be on the court at the same time excluding blowouts. I wish they were able to keep Craig though.

This is a single player who hasn't proven he can win yet as exciting as 70 points is. We've had Steve Nash Jason Kidd Charles Barkley amare stoudamire. Those are just the players we've had that are superstar level although I'd argue amare though he would've been hall of fame If he didn't get injured would've never scored 70 points and Barkley never did butt Kidd and Nash id argue were just as good as someone who scores 70 points considering how much better they make their teams and all this isn't even counting our Eddie houses raja bells q richardsons dan Majerle Kevin Johnson's.

Devin Booker now leads all active NBA players in career high points in a single game. More than
    LeBron
    Carmelo
    Curry
    Durant
    Westbrook
    Harden
    Lillard
    Isaiah Thomas
    Kawhi Leonard
    Anthony Davis
    Blake Griffin
    Chris Paul
    Kemba
    Kyrie
    Klay
    And even legends such as
    Jordan
    Bird
    Magic
    SHAQ
    Iverson
    The OG Isiah Thomas
    And Jerry West.
And he's only 20 years old

Wow... absolutely incredible game from such a young and talented player. I wish this kid and the organization luck and hopefully Booker's talents will earn him the ring he deserves. He truly is the light-skinned version of Kobe Bryant

He's 25 years old now and has scored 10 000 points already. If he stays fit he'll actually surpass Curry in career points tally.
Plus he has been doing it with a less than mediocre team.
    Krazy.
