I lived in a single wide trailer for seven years, wheels and all. Now I live in a two story house on a lake married to the love of my life for 36 years. It doesn't matter where you start, but what does matter is what you do to ensure where you end up is where you want to be.
Great story. Years ago my dad built a 6 BR house in a nice neighborhood. One day a guy knocked on the door and verified the number of BR's and said he wanted to buy the house. Keep in mind the house wasn't for sale. When he asked my dad if it was for sale my dad said everything is for sale if the price is right. The guy made a really, REALLY good offer and my dad sold it. Turned out is was a guy out of Detroit that opened the first strip club in town. He also started running hookers out of the 3 BR's downstairs. A couple years later he was on the run for some bad stuff and lost the house. My dad bought it back on the court house steps in a tax auction. You never know whats going on next door.
Those "above" can be worse than us common people. I didn't grow up in a trailer park, but I have friends that grew up in exactly what you described. We lived in Indiana and there if you left the wheels on the trailer you didn't have to pay property tax. It wasn't considered a permanent building. Never mind that it had electricity, water and either septic or sewer hook ups.
You brought back a lot of memories bringing up those cinderblock steps. I remember looking at them closely as a kid. I discovered that 75% of them had broken, but just pushed back together to look whole. Kind of weird to look back on stuff like that with fond memories. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I’ve got the sudden desire for a mullet and an I-ROC.
I doubt you'll see this, but you're one of my favorite youtubers, I'm an aspiring musician, and I listen to your stories every day on repeat while I practice. Please continue to put out amazing content. And if possible, maybe bring some guest storytellers from VinWiki and have them share stories they wouldn't be able to tell on Ed's platform.
Had an old coworker who worked for a cable company. He said a lot of the McMansions had Bentleys, 7Series BMWs, Mercedes in the driveway, but they were so poor they had lawn chairs for furniture on the inside and were always getting cut off from cable tv.
I grew up mostly in US Military family housing. Not a lot different. My first place on my own was at a run down motel on the edge of town by the tobacco warehouses. It is where all the migrant workers lived when they planted or cut tobacco. I paid $65 a week in 1992. For that I got a 8x15 room with a shower, and toilet behind a door at the other end. The sink was in the main room. It had a color tv and basic cable. I got fresh sheets, towels and wash clothes on Mon. and Thur. For $10 extra they would wash, dry and fold one load of my personal laundry. My second place was with my first wife in a 1976 single wide, 2 bedroom, one bath mobil home. It was a rental in a trailer park with only 10 trailers. It was $150 deposit, $350 a month plus electric and water. It was old and rough looking outside but it had been reinsulated, sheetrocked, new sinks, shower/tube, toilet, appliances, carpet, vinyl and such. The forced air heat and AC actually worked good off an updated heatpump. It was a decent place to live for our first year.
Grew up in a military family. Lived all over, overseas...but lived 'temporarily'in a trailer park and next door to a pimp. The pimp was much better that the first crew living on the other side of that duplex.
LOL, you ain't seen nothing to where I grew up. 1952 to 1966. Sandy Flats in Gainesville, Ga. Whew~~~ Trouble every where you turned! Bootlegging in every house! Southern Mafia type stuff. Uncles, making and running Moonshine~~ OH !! I was a kid and I remember everything.. I can't forget it ! I was born in 1952 and I have a vivid memory from 1956 and on. . The stories I could tell about N. Ga. Moonshine running, cars and all.
Rob(rabbit) you’re a great story teller, first time i saw you was on vinwiki and couldn’t get enough. Maybe it’s your voice or the way you tell the story but keep it up brotha. You and the tiny dancer/ doug are my favorites on vinwiki.
My buddy couple years outta high school started a business. He bought a trailer in the “classy mobile home” park. It had a driveway and a big shed on the lot. 😂
Rob, I’ve got a similar background as you; grew up in a little trailer on a South Georgia farm. Recently moved into a nice neighborhood, as you would say, “high falutin”. So about a week or so in the house, I stop by the Home Depot on my way home and purchase Phillips hue light bulbs for my patio. You know, so I can dim it down from my phone and set the mood. I’m out there with a cocktail enjoying myself on a Friday night when my wife calls yelling hysterically at me. Turns out a neighbor drove by and saw my nice hue light bulbs and gave my wife a courtesy call. It was then i learned that in this neighborhood, a colored light bulb is how you let the everyone know you’re a “swinger house “ 😲
Good people get the good reward.. you picked good parents.... same as me.... everyone ain't as lucky... Sledge out...the old man's down the road... hahaha
just out of curiosity I looked up Greenville home prices on Zillow. Son a dollar goes a loooooong way in that town compared to where I live on the Left Coast
Gee the trailer park I was raised in was still there last I knew, but it's now surrounded by Apartments rather than cornfields. Our trailer was a 12x50 with 4 kids.
Ok that was like haveing your drunk friend try n tell you a story n after ten mins of set up just as he’s about to tell the story he stops talking n forgets what he was saying ......lmfao
Grew up poor, living in a trailer park but dad's driving SS Camaros and he's driving SS Camaros and Vettes, etc. Car is worth twice the homes, it all makes so much sense. I've watched 99 percent of the channel vids and it's like this one was told about a completely different guys life...😂
@@rabbits_used_cars no doubt brother, I should have clarified that it's possible to change your life regardless of where you come from in a short period of time. A lot of people don't get that!
I was so broke when I bought my first place, I sold a 1987 Tercel station wagon I got from the auction to my gf at the time. I used her money as part of the down payment because the bank said you need money in your account. I paid the auction with my credit card after I got the mortgage. You do what you gotta do.
You must live at the Cliffs at Glassy. I love in Columbia and am looking to move up to that area now. Just not sure about the HOA since I want to build a garage with a lift on the property.
Not to surprising. When I worked security in exactly the kind of neighborhood you live in there was a known brothel. Difference is the HoA came down on the johns getting in and the mixture of that with a paper trail deterred them and eventually they foreclosed on that house.
10:58 - Oh, Rob---Of COURSE they did... It was just tricks for rent and dope instead of the high class "because we can" type in the snooty Eyes Wide Shut hoods.

“Moved up to a better class of losers” 😂 Rob
lmao I choked on my lunch lmao
“All these damn amenities, and you left that one out.” 😂
Thanks Tyler, realtor of the year . Lol
Right! I'd pay 15 grand over asking if I lived next to a brothel
And now we know where the car models come from. Lol just playing rabbit.
Might explain why you don’t see them at the end of the videos anymore. Lol
One literally created only fans 😂
Gotta get a house that sits on a foundation instead of wheels... " suh FIS tee Kay Ted " LOL 😆
Like a ten piece nugget meal
Rabbit with Jordan’s on 👀?. Never thought he was a sneaker guy . Love the stories👍🏽
Count again. There are actually two Jordans.

"used house salesmen" lol. That's better than calling an airplane stewardess an air waitress
Rabbit is the best story teller ever!
You can take the rabbit out of the trailer park, but you can't stop the trailer park from following the rabbit lol
😂😂👌

That was funny as hell.... after all that being mad that nobody told you there's a brothel there...
The fire red Jordan 4s rob 🔥🔥🔥
This is probably the best channel on all of UA-cam. Keep it up Rob!
You must live at the Cliffs at Glassy. I love in Columbia and am looking to move up to that area now. Just not sure about the HOA since I want to build a garage with a lift on the property.

Wealthy people like having their brothels local
That’s one of the first things I think about when someone buys a house from their parents. If people live in their old rooms or their parents room.
How's it feel to hit 100k? YT better have that play button polished up and in the mail.
Oh I assure you that the trailer park did have that amenity, you just don't want to go near it 😂
FIRE RED JORDAN 4’S... GREAT TASTE I HAVE THE SAME PAIR.
I had a Falcon Sprint ,
with a Factory 289 HIPO
Scorched earth trailer park.😁
Really the realtor could have pointed that out WTH I'm seriously pissed at this realtor. That's a good amenity to have 🤣
Sounds like South Carolina is wide open party 😂
Almost to 100k subscribers!
I should have purchased in Greer back in the day, I ended up with a house in Simpsonville.
Lived in a straight line pencil. I lived like that until I was 5

Don't change Rabbit, change the neighborhood. They need it!
