    Looks good! I’ve been thinking about doing the same wheel on mine. I also currently have the m performance electronic wheel and when I installed it I remember I had to re pin one of the connectors and my biggest hold up was having to re do that bc it was kind of a pain to do but it looks like you were able to just install it without messing with that. I messaged JQ and they said I would need to do that step before install on this one. Looks like you didn’t have any issues without doing that or was that just a step you left out on video? Thank you! I appreciate any info on that

      I just went for it and installed it. No errors or anything on the car left over from the install. All the buttons work as they should. So I think you should be good to go! If you run bootmod3 be prepared to not have all the functionality some of the tuners add to your wheel to check things like ethanol content. That’s the only thing I noticed that doesn’t seem to work.

    Hi bro, I assume you daily drive this car or is it a dedicated track car?
    I want to install this wheel but I am concerned about not having harnesses and the loss of my airbag..

      I don’t daily it too much anymore. I do still drive it around just for fun but you are correct, it’s becoming a dedicated track tool. The stock belt and side impact stuff will still work as BMW requires. So the belt autotensions and side impact bags are present. Depending on how much force your head could still rotate forward a good amount but hopefully you are sitting at a good position the belt can do its job. Of course you are taking away one of the safety mechanisms which should come with adding the harness hand in hand, but many people don’t do that. Personal opinion, get a harness, even a nice 4 point would be good if you do the wheel. Not only will you be safer, you’ll get some steeze too.

      @@DeftCityLLC steering wheel is awesome but I use my car for spirited weekend driving so I will refrain until I install the proper safety harnesses…
      Keep rolling out the videos 👍

    When sliding the hub on mine is needing some force? Is this correct?

    • @DeftCityLLC
      @DeftCityLLC  4 місяці тому

      Hey @ajkous! It really should have frictions going in. Maybe there’s a little something in the splines? Give it a good wipe and see if it smooths out and check for the centering alignment large spline alignment. Lemme know how it goes!

    Hey, which momo wheel is that? Thanks

      @DeftCityLLC  7 місяців тому +1

      Hey! It’s a Mod 88 320mm. I would recommend swapping to the 350 tho. The 320 was a little too small for me when I am in my seat

      @DeftCityLLC  7 місяців тому

      really depends on what your whole setup in your is looking like. If your seat base puts your legs/knees pretty high, the smaller wheels are perfect. Especially if flat bottom. 330 is definitely not a bad starting point

      @@DeftCityLLC ok thanks, I have an og m2 lci but I’m probably gonna go f82 seats, or would you recommend spending a little bit more and going for recaro sportsters? I know it’s off topic but just wanted to ask someone with the f80 seats for an opinion.

      It should be similar for the install. I’d have to check how the airbag comes out. Check out the JQ website for fitment tho. They should be able to get you dialed in
