Quite a few years ago I bought some 535gn projectiles from a guy online called “Ranger Rick”. As far as I know, they are the largest bullet that will fit in a 460S&W. 😮 I also load some 405gn from a mold designed for 45/70 that I size down for 460. I sure wish I could get ahold of that 535gn bullet mold, Ranger Rick has been out of business for years.

The load data provided by Ranger Rick that I used, listed the 535gn at 1930fps out of a 14” barrel using 22gn of H110.
I have not had them out with a chronograph but I will this summer. I’ll be using the Raging Hunter 6.75”
Btw. Be careful with those 200gn Hornady rounds. There were reports w/pictures of those rounds causing flame cutting on the top strap of the revolver. You can probably google it and find that information. They are a bit light for this caliber. I have some of them but don’t shoot them much. If I remember right, the 200gn hornady was the only thing readily available when I bought my first 460

Dude I have the same gun but I have problems getting the spent brass from the cylinder, using the 460 rounds. Do you have similar issues? They are new rounds from Steinel Ammo. No problem with 45 or 454’s.

@ The Steinel’s are 350 gr. hard cast stating 1970 FPS. Gonna try some nickel plated from Underwood that are rated at 1750 FPS. If it’s still doing it I’ll call Taurus to see if they have any cylinder recalls.
