What i like about ezdrummer is that you can pick intro, verse, chorus etc. and connect them together in a timeline.

I bit the bullet and purchased. Totally worth it. Years of pulling my hair with Superior and this just kicks ass almost immediately.
Superior Drummer 3 will be coming out soon. if logic dictates Toontrack's actions to a minimum, SD2 users should get SD3 for free. SD3 will have a fully resizable interface (a treatment all FL Studio 12 plugins are also getting).
Keep hearing this from lots of people. I got SD2 in order to use producer presets but with introduction of SD3 they suddenly no longer exist. Like +Bullets Forteeth I find the UI completely useless in SD2. I have to bend over my desk to even see which is impossible holding a guitar. So now I can either update to SD3 which is way more than I need, or get a another expansion like Metal Foundry and try to live with the UI - and both options are more expensive than Perfect Drums!
+Nick nice enough but seriously; $250 just to update SD2 to what it always should have been?? Actually I would be more than happy to get out of the TOontrack greed.
And the the best thing about this drummer: No discussions about the music you are playing :D

no, glenn thinks that the only correct way to do things is to do it for real and not using computers to make the music for you.
Lee Thomas Ok using bias or other amp modeling software is not the same as running midi through EZdrummer as it llays everything for you. If he was against that thrn he might as well be agains anything digital so i guess he will go out of business with his studio because he wont apply any effects because they're not 'real'. And he is not doing it just because hes sponsored its because they actually work good and is a fan of this product
He said often enough to do things unique. He shows how it CAN be done, but not all HAVE to do it. He says the techniques are good, but not that they are the only way. He actually cares about his fans, thats why he works on cab impulses, because he has been asked about it way to often over the years. In terms of drums, however, i agree with Glenn. Theres a reason his drum sounds are good and my Ez Drummer 2 can't keep up with it. He said often to never turn off a good advice, doesn't matter the source. He proofed that in some videos, where he admitted his bad decisions or mistakes.
The time he ranted about Amp Sims was before Amp Sims stepped up theire game. They improved a LOT over the last years and he realized not everyone has a Mesa Boogie right next to theire chair.
I think his mixes sound good, if you like him or not. He knows his stuff and the plugins he uses beside demos are compressors or limiters, which work digital just fine, if you got good ones. He even showed 5 of the free plugins he likes the most, to encourage others to use them, for example the Le Pou Amp Sims.
The time he rant about Amp Sims is over because they got better and it's thanks to people like him, criticising them, that they did.
The audio world need critics to improve, else we would be stuck with bad plugins still to date.
He said that theres nothing wrong with using Simulations, but the fact, that everyone uses that, which makes many bands sound not quite unique, which is a good point.
wth are you talking about, bias amp lays everything out for you. you can literally download 100s of presets and not have to know a thing about tweaking or setup within the plugin.
I replace Slate Drums with this software. So much more intuitive. Its personal choice of course, but I love it. When I first set it up, I had to ask some newbie questions, and the customer support was really helpful. Happy customer

Sounds like it was mixed for metal in mind. The kicks are thight as fuck, that's usually the problematic part, so is the snare.
You could compress or limit it to get some more sustain and room sound from the samples.
for djenty metal, maybe. but it sounds way too gated/suffocated for any badass thrash metal
What I'm saying is that definitely not for stadium rock or jazz/blues. It's for fast metal.

Yes, all the mixer routings are fully adjustable. You can send any individual microphone group or the entire instrument to any output within your DAW as well as to any internal bus inside the plugin.

Idk if this available but im new to daw and plugins. I ise cakewalk and amphub subscription. Anyways what if there was a drum plugin creator that used AI or machine learning to basically listen/download ur song and then add or adapt drums to ur complete songs for you. So u complete a 4 track song with two guitars and a bass track. Then load in the metal plugin that gives u options of drum samples that match ur song exactly. That would save time and effort. Does such software exist already?

I can click on the individual drum pieces and load up the different drum kits but can't see how to make the drum kits play. My Daw setup has a MIDI Keyboard set up and I use it all the time, so I get how MIDI works. But this has confused me..

is it better, to me, means how many options it has, an yes it is, load your own samples, multiple kits per midi note, trigger program, able to run .tci files, turn audio notes into midi notes for sound replacement...ect... by far with those alone, better than ez or sd2

We are adding this feature in the upcoming update. That will be possible using the "X-PADS" where you can insert any extra instruments including a second kick drums or multiple snare drums etc.

Yes, you have to build the drum parts on your own. You go to your DAW's MIDI editor, place the notes, and then load the drum plugin on that track.
