If he felt trapped he should have used the therapy sessions with Ariana to get that point across. That would have been the place to tell Ariana that he wasn't happy and needed to end the relationship. Instead, he was telling her he was going to deposit sperm.
I am glad they are over their relationship and getting on with their separate lives. I wish Tom and Ariana well....heck even Rachel. They all need to heal emotionally.

I don’t get why people act like this was a broken leg & he’s the VICTIM! This whole “show”-lol was a long period of explaining how tough he had it & people were wrong for berating him! Gotta be kidding…if this had been my friends, prob done much, much worst! He thought people would forgive him, said that on VPR, wanted his friends to call him! Really now…he NEVER made things right w/Arianna at all…he blamed her 100%! Always has a reason…we can like him, we can not…it’s up to US when, where we get over it too! YOU sucked me in once TOM, never again! Today I’m not ready! Don’t tell me to go on! My prerogative when, where, if, if not! See you soon…

Everyone is allowed to grow! Him sober off alcohol and quitting cigs is huge growth in itself.
And he quit both simultaneously. Hard enough to quit 1 vice, let alone 2. I wonder if being on Special Forces helped make that easier. Maybe they kept him too busy and exhausted for withdrawal ?

First podcast I ever saw that looks like a studio set and not a bunch of ugly pictures on the walls, colors that do not help the creator look better! I watched the whole podcast and waited to comment because I didn’t want to have to edit or delete like I had to the few not nice things I said on your instagram recently.
I can’t say that I see much change because frankly I never saw the things people said about you. You have always been kind, you always wait to jump into someone’s conversation hearing them out ignoring the vile things they have said to you over the years on the show. We never saw you sloppy drunk, being rude to Ariana, you owned your choices even if others didn’t like them. Always the leader of the pack in planning and executing things. Taking time doing to right.
Look you made a mistake, it happens everyday, every hour someplace. People cheat. Why who knows, some because the think they are entitled, some because they truly are living a lie at home and not sure how to get out especially with someone who hates themselves as much as she did. Mental health is a hard thing to deal with in yourself let alone someone else’s. Fear of what they might do, fear of leaving, just fear. You know that because of your friend who did, a choice that you would never want to , even though you wouldn’t, be part of the choice. Death is permanent, you can’t wake up the next day and say “oh I changed me mind”. It is final. Did you and Rachel make a bad decision, of course, but not to the extent that what the fall out was. I think from your not speaking out was the best thing to do. I think the things you have recently said about Rachel were a reflex of hurt. Unlike men we say things differently, our shame is never overlooked, just be mindful of that. Write her a letter, believe it or not that works! Loosing friends as you have like your bff, is not because of what you did, it was because the fear of what might and did come out about them. Their past behavior being brought up again, their frankly lack of empathetic intelligence. You have grown over the years, you did open two bars, form a working band, you did remain true to who you are. Something that they don’t even know about themselves in the first place. You took the leap, all in win or fail you had no fear.
All in all I think what you got here is great! You of course will have your faithful followers who will watch and you will gain many on the way!
Keep it real, keep it honest, keep it blunt and truthful. Can’t go wrong. Stay true to you and yourself first the rest just falls in place. Don’t ever get so low that death seems more real than life. It isn’t that much fun if you make the choice, let that just happen as it will!! To your family I am so sorry that they couldn’t be there to comfort you like they wanted to be. They love you. They hurt for you. But at the end of the of the day…in the immortal words of the king ELVIS…you did it your way!! And that shit is o.k.!!
yesss! seriously where is this asshole, narcissist, that everyone is speaking of? I’ve watched Tom on VPR since S1, Ep1 and he was a friend to everybody, even when they didn’t deserve it. I don’t know how that got lost in translation, and how people went absolutely bananas over this affair, but I feel like it was two lost people who felt unloved and rejected finding each other. A love story that unfortunately couldn’t continue because of everything around it. I wish them both the best.

Proud of you Tom and god bless you Jason. Wow. Sobriety and touring is called resilience. So frickin glad you had the awareness to make that decision and that you had supportive people around you to hold you up through this huge growth period in your life. Being human in the public eye is incredibly challenging. I forgive you and that doesn’t mean lying and cheating is ok it simply means there is so much more to you and everyone than our mistakes and it looks like you can show us how we can actually show up for ourselves when it feels like you have lost everything. Tom I see you as a creative and caring friend and this doesn’t erase your good qualities. I look forward to watching you grow and I am so glad you and Jason are out there to have your voice heard. so making amends is not simply saying I’m sorry. It is changing the behavior. So you really need to be patient and earn back the trust of the people that feel betrayed. By being honest and that will take time . Longer for some than others.

For what it's worth, re: Rachel. Women get indoctrinated that there are "good guys" and "bad guys.". So every time a guy does something less than ideal, he can get put in the "bad guy" category and every time a women does something "messy" she can pathologize herself think that she's "sick." So she has to distance herself from all of it. Instead of just seeing that everyone is just having a human experience and it's doesn't have be all neat and tidy tone okay. I really hate what pop (or bad) psychology does to people.

The nasty vitriol from the public was loony and the rest of the cast lapped it up and went to the bank with it! Shameful to make money and stuff your pockets over what Tom did, whilst calling Tom every vile thing and in some ways pushing him to unalive himself. I hope he calls the cast out with their dirty closet secrets. Brock paying child support yet? Sheena and her affair with Brandy's husband, who had kids. Lala - no more needs to be said about her, Katie's abusive character she demeaned her partner and called his p3nis tiny, imagine saying that about a woman's vegay. Ariana had every right to hate him. That said a s3xless relationship rarely lasts and he should have left. Ironically she got over her non existent libido quickly and moved on and made serious $$$ from it.

I am so happy that Tom decided to have this podcast. He was dragged thru the coals after Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules. Tom Sandoval is a really talented guy. Hate does not bring good outcomes. The hate against him was too much. His personal life was aired on Vanderpump Rules. When people were hating on him, I saw a different side of Tom. I saw a smart guy, a talented guy, a good looking guy, a friendly person. The scandal reminded me of what happened to Will Smith. Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, he did NOT kill him! Chris Rock is alive and well. Tom stepped out on his relationship, he did not kill anyone. Sometimes this happens. He stayed in the relationship for a long time. I think that they... him and Ariana were confused about what is "the show" and what is "their life". They are both likable people.

I’m glad to hear you’re sober Tom, congratulations, that’s HUGE! I hope that you go through the 12 steps with someone who knows how to bring you through them, it helps a lot. It helps us see our part in things and to understand why and what brought us there. The turn arounds are very important. To deeply understand the fear doubt insecurities and financial of why. It helps one understands so that you know how to make a proper amends to those we hurt in the wake of our addictions. I know I don’t know you, however, understand addictions and I understand recovery and how important the steps are in our way of life in sobriety. Peace @tomsandoval

Sobriety is freeing and a minute by minute triumph for me on some days; on other days “sobriety” just sits quietly. The “you know”, “like”, “you should”, phrases are used when telling a narrative of how the speaker would like for things to have played out, happened etc. Speaking in “I” phrases takes practice, but helps immensely with ownership.
