    TenPoint and Garmin deliver the fastest compact crossbow ever - the Havoc RS440 XERO - featuring the Revolutionary Garmin XERO® X1i Rangefinding Scope.
    The Garmin XERO® X1i auto-ranging digital crossbow scope is the first of its kind:
    - Automatically range game up to 250-yards away with the press of a single button.
    - Precise illuminated aim points automatically adjust for both distance and brightness allowing you to see your target, unobstructed by reticle patterns.

      Can't be cocked or let down from the left side. I am not aware of any brand of Xbow with an internal cranking mechanism, that can be cocked on the left side of bow. However, Safety on this bow can be moved to the left side of the bow. I am sure you have experienced this problem before with sporting equipment .

      So I'm wearing a microphone on my jacket collar, which is literally resting on the bow when I shoot. The sound will always be amplified in that situation, especially with a crossbow, because I'm right on top of the bow, as opposed to a vertical bow, where the bow is an arm's length away from my body. What I can tell you is that, for a crossbow, it was comparatively quiet.

    The trigger Position of the garmin sight is not good. Why not integrated in the trigger of the crossbow?

    • @TenPointCrossbows
      @TenPointCrossbows 3 роки тому +7

      Just as with a firearm, the only time you should pull the trigger on a crossbow is when you intend to fire it. We kept the trigger for the Garmin X1i crossbow scope separate from the crossbow trigger for that reason. The position of the range finder trigger in the stock allows you to range the target with as little movement as possible.

      @@thediamondblue13 do yourself a favor and look at the Sig Sauer BDX system, before you buy the Garmin. The Garmin has a 3.5 X magnification limitation. The Sig Sierra Scope I have on my TP RS 470 bow has a 3.5 x10 x 42 MM scope that really reaches out for that 60 yards shot (100 yards if you are plinkng) that a 3.5MM can't give you. Yes, the Sig does not lock on the target like the Garmin. But with the Garmin you are locking on to the animal, not the shot behind the shoulder on a big buck.

    Beautiful crossbow, i have one problem with this, it takes zero skill to be average. The technology is so good, you don't have to pursue an art, i will get bored of it. With my recurve bow it took me a few months to hit a tennis ball at 50m....the upside it cost me $80, and I can shoot 10 arrows in the same time...

    • @treyu8117

      I understand how it almost makes it too easy but it reminds me of how when I had a single pin sight on my bow with a sight tape once I adjusted the range it was right on target where I needed it to be and I still had to make a good shot. The way I look at these lines of sights is it takes the sight tape out of the picture and you can focus more on making a smooth well executed shot. The skill of shooting a bow and crossbow is still there

      First of all, it takes less time to draw this bow than it does to draw one with a standard draw string.
      2nd: without the GARMIN scope, I'm knocking the X out of my target at 40yds.
      3rd: with a better system, I'll be more lethal, more often. FEWER injured/ lost animals.
      Trust me...

    Tenpoint is hitching their wagon to Garmin glory. The bow by itself is crap, along with the nocking system of the arrows. If you dry fire the bow (and you will because the DFI won't prevent it) at some point, you will destroy the rails and the locking pin. The bow will then have to be returned on your dime and the work on your dime. The DFI doesn't work. Save yourself alot of money, time, and frustration and go with Ravin until Tenpoint works this flaw out. The DFI needs to prevent a dry fire, not merely try to catch the string after the fact.

  • @Rippinsmallies
    @Rippinsmallies 2 роки тому

    These crossbows are not to shoot for fun.
    Site them in and thats it.
    Shooting for fun will destroy your strings.
    I'm sure it's $200 plus to replace strings.
    That's how my ravin is so beware.

      @@KTMsoldier1988 I've hunted with a gun since I was 6 years old with my dad. Hunted with a compound from 12-21. I learned what respecting an animal was and people today are all about "bragging rights" which is honestly the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. We're killing something and would rather take a chance on an animal getting injured and getting away because we can't put our pride aside. People today, even on camera are shooting deer to far forward and in the gut at 30 yards with a compound. True respect for an animal is putting it down as quickly as possible. If someone wants to "get good with a vertical bow" then shoot competition. Not everyone has hours to practice like the Bowmars do as most people are out working 10 hours a day. I had a buddy shoot a deer in the gut and it was a 130-140 class buck, got away and never found it and he finally gave in and bought the crossbow. First time he took it hunting, he killed an 8 point. Crossbows aren't bad, the people against them are too prideful or are narcissistic. There hasn't been a legit, good arguement made yet as to why crossbows are "bad" other than, "oh, be a real man and shoot a compound." 🙄😆 same real man will break down and cry when a 150 class deer jumps his string or he just simply misses lol

      Ive been reading all the post about the Havoc xero, cant believe how narrow minded some are Ive had mine since feb and still on my 1st set of batteries, so it is NOT a battery eating hog as one said, ranging is quick i like the integrated ranging pad, right next to the trigger. The xero is not loud either, I got custom bolts at 515 grains, for a 16" long bolt. Dialing in was so fast and easy within 5 min, your ready to go out to 80 yards as advertised, but you can extend that distance, depending where you start your array of aiming points in the scope. Ihave since put hundreds of shots on this outfit, not the first glitch. Yeah I paid 3800 bucks for my havoc xero, but its what I wanted. Enough said!
